This three-bedroom cottage on the banks of the river Artro is within easy reach of both the mountains and the sea and provides a great base for families wanting to explore this lovely part of Eryri (Snowdonia) A spacious kitchen/diner houses a traditional country cottage style kitchen on a quarry tile floor. A traditional Aga type oven provides the heat and hot water and large robust dining table provides plenty of room for family meals. The large picture window in front of the sink will help mum and dad keep an eye on the children playing in the back garden as they tidy everything away after diner. The lounge next door is equally spacious with two large sofas flanking a warming log burner set within the original inglenook fireplace. Exposed beams and whitewashed stone walls are complemented by more modern lighting and a flat screen TV. The adjoining conservatory is a great space to escape to on warm summer evenings. There are three bedrooms upstairs. The largest master bedroom has a wonderful king-sized bed centrally located under a vaulted roof. Plenty of storage space is provided and the window has a lovely view of the back garden. The bedroom next door is quite a bit smaller but still has room for a double bed. The third bedroom is a charming single room with a Victorian style bed. The bathroom is also on this first floor. This includes a shower over bath arrangement as well as a WC and washbasin. Other things to note Please be cautious of the paths if wet as they can be slippy. The water supply is directly from the river so is not suitable for drinking unless boiled but is perfectly fine to bath, shower and wash up in. There is no central heating in the property; the heating and hot water are provided by the woodburning stove and rayburn. There is no mobile phone reception at all on any network, but there is WIFI.
