This 1 bedroom self catering apartment with lounge, large en suite shower room, fully fitted kitchen, BBQ area and large private pool with decking. It is set in 4.7 acres of woodland, in the municipality of Oliveira do Hospital in the heart of Central Portugal. With stunning views across the Serra do Acor mountains next to the Serra de Estrela range. Peace and tranquility, with virtually no light or noise pollution, you are guaranteed total relaxation. The space Located just outside Casal de Abade in a totally secluded spot with only your hosts, Chris and Rebecca, as neighbours. When entering the property through the electric gates you will drive into the beautiful and well manicured grounds to your private apartment entrance. A demonstration of the quality and love that has gone into creating your holiday apartment and private relaxation areas. The 1 bedroom spacious apartment has a lounge, large en suite shower room, fully fitted kitchen, walled private BBQ fully equipped with food preparation areas for alfresco dining. This overlooks the orchard which leads to the guests own private large pool with decking area. All areas are exclusive to the apartment guests and not shared with anyone else. The decking hosts padded sun beds, table, chairs, large umbrella and a sliding canopy to shield you from the mid day sun. You can relax here in complete privacy and enjoy the views over the top of Villa Tranquilla to the stunning mountain range. For your more energetic moments there is also a sand based badminton or volleyball court and petanque, located near the pool. With further relaxation in mind we will also offer a select menu (for an additional charge) for breakfast and / or evening meals. An amazing area for walking, cycling, touring and sight seeing. You will find plenty of wooded walks from the apartment leading to nearby villages and cafes where you will find extremely friendly locals. Here it will feel like time has stood still. Numerous signed walks are just a short drive away, to see even more of the stunning countryside, Mondego River and mountain ranges. Although very rural there is a restaurant/ bar just 10 minutes WALK away. 10 minutes drive takes you to the beautiful and popular village of Coja, a must to relax in the square with a drink and watch the world go by plus plenty of bars and restaurants. 10 minutes drive to the market town of Tabua for supermarkets, banks and restaurants. 30 minutes drive takes you to the larger city of Oliveira do Hospital and 45 minutes gets you to the historic University city of Coimbra. Very central to many stunning locations, too numerous to mention but guaranteed to satisfy everyone's holiday requirements. Nearby we have 4 popular and stunning river beaches, Coja, Avo, Barril de Alva and Cascalheira, which also have their own restaurants/ cafes. Just over 1 hour drive away will take you to the popular Silver Coast with its numerous sandy beaches. Chris and Rebecca moved here from the UK in September 2023 to start a rural tourism business and are looking forward to welcoming their guests.
