As soon as you step inside, you’ll feel right at home. Think original beams, stone floors, roaring fires, and all the cosy nooks you need after a day exploring the Yorkshire Dales. The heart of the house is the huge country kitchen, made for slow mornings with coffee by the Aga or lively evenings around the breakfast island. With two ovens, two fridge freezers, a log-burning stove and a TV, it's a dream for groups who love to cook — or you can let a private chef take care of it all for you. The formal dining room is the perfect place to gather together for a special meal, while the spacious lounge offers deep sofas, a grand piano, and a huge open fire. Upstairs, four luxurious bedrooms (all en-suite) guarantee a good night’s sleep. Two of the rooms can be made up as twins, ideal for families or groups of friends. The master suite even has a copper roll-top bath — just add bubbles and a glass of wine for the ultimate evening in. For a little extra luxury, the Garden Room is tucked just outside the main house. It’s a private little slice of heaven, with a super-king four-poster bed, freestanding bath, walk-in shower, and views of the gardens. The garden is completely enclosed, so dogs (and kids!) can roam safely. And just beyond the paddocks, you might catch a glimpse of the racehorses from the famous Sun Hill Racing yard training — a pretty magical sight.
