Romantic and Cozy Winter Waterfront Wonderland

Relax with your special person, a few good friends or your family at this peaceful place to stay. You will love how quiet and serene the lake is. Only 20 minutes to Perth or Westport, 5 minutes to a new hiking trail and 15 minites to Foley Mountain conservation to name a few special places to enjoy nature. This cottage is on a private lake with no public access and is an absolute slice of heaven. Enjoy walks on the quiet road after a fresh snow fall or have a fire lakeside. The space We have 2 interior bedrooms with Queen Beds, there is a bunkee that was entirely renovated that also has a new Queen Bed, the bunkee is right in the laneway and steps away from the front entrance with 3 very large windows that open. This is perfect for a second couple or older kids wanting space. There is an additional room that is available upon requests with bunk bed for children >10. the beach is gorgeous, small sandy place to play, you can slowly walk in or dive right off the end of the dock! with a floating raft and gorgeous spring fed lake, water is amazing for swimming and sporting. the lake boasts many quiet bays for fishing and kayaking. The water is lake intake, it is filtered with UV light, however many guests opt to bring their own water. 2 cars fit in the driving spaces right at the front door, an additional car can be parked at the top of the hill. Absolutely no parking anywhere other than the designated parking spots. Sheds are off limits to guests unless permission to use the contents has been discussed. we have lovely neighbours that you generally can not see, they are quite and private on both sides and we ask that you be respectful to them and quiet in the evenings/night. we have a HUGE deck that faces the water, perfect for children to play while parents BBQ, for ffantastic dinners or space for everyone to lounge quietly. different spots on the deck get both morning and afternoon sun whilw the whole deck is sun filled mid day. There is a waterfront deck that can be used and has great shade be mindful of small children as the stairs off the deck lead directly into the lake. Baby gate is suggested for small children. the waterside Screen room is perfect for enjoying some mid day shade, escaling the bugs, playing cards or staying out of any rain. WINTER GUESTS: please note there is a short hill to walk or drive down from the road. we clear it but, it is not bare. walking paths are cleared and sanded as well. In winter conditions a 4x4 is required to drive down, if snow or freezing rain is expected.or present, do not descend the hill, you must use the higher parking spot(s). we will help you with the logistics closer to your stay. NOTE: woodstove requires a tutorial and permission before use. woodstove is not to be left full when you leave the property. the woodstove doors MUST be locked at all times during use, never run with the door(s) open, use the vents for air flow. wood and kindeling are provided for you for the woodstove, after permission to use has been provided in writing. Guest access you will have access to two interior bedrooms as well as 1 exterior cabin, it is right beside the main building and is heated. this is a fully renovated bunkee with new absolutely everything inckuding roof, porch, insulation, chandeliers and windows. note - the bunkee is not prepared in the off-season and kept unheated unless it is requested and confirmed upon booking, this applies fall through spring. Other things to note The road is very well maintained all year round as many residence on this private lake live here. The laneway itself is short, but a decline. It is not useable in the winter without 4 wheel drive. It is also possible that you would have to park in the upper parking andnis required if we are expecting snow/freezing rain or if we have had snow/freezing rain recently. We will clear and sand a walking path, there are also solar lights in place to assist eith visibility.
