WELCOME TO FIDDLER'S REST IN OUR SEASIDE VILLAGE RIGHT ACROSS FROM THE WATERFRONT! Lovely furnished suite in seaside Village of Baddeck. Dock and restaurants are a block away or less ! Separate entrance main level , walk Bras d'Or Lake 1/2 half block away . 1-3 blocks to amenities. King bed , Wifi, air conditioning, large bathroom , fridge/ microwave, large table. Spacious, town centre. Covid clean. 1 child (sofa) avail. On the "Beginning and End " of the Cabot Trail ! See Guide Book:)) The space FIDDLERS' REST Huge King bed and sofa , new large bathroom , fridge/ microwave, large table plus small desk (Note: pull up table wings.) Air-conditioner for those warm sunny days. Spacious, and in central Baddeck, Nova Scotia. Wifi included. Guest space is entirely separate and heating is individual baseboard electric (i.e not shared heat vents.) Loads of restaurants, convenience store, Pizza open til late eves. Cabot Trail visitors? Recommendation: Drive 1/2 the trail counter clockwise and return, stay the second night, then 1/2 the distance clockwise and return for double the scenery and views, with extra time for a hike or two along the way ! Amazing Glass studio, leather works, hattery, hooked rugs, quilting studio, beaches, ski gondola, and many other engaging sites along the way ! You'll love the huge double shower! All our small village amenities within a few blocks..... Including the scenic Bras d'Or Lake within a stone's throw. So take a saunter on the boardwalk by the our inland sea (Lake is really an inland sea), enjoy a quiet moment evenings sitting on the community dock, a swift early morning dew-ridden run or cycle down the Bay Road by the shore, a lazy meal on the dock and the Freight Shed overlooking the Lake or have a coke or drink at the Yacht Club Deck overlooking the sea. Our (check times) beach is just across the water on a short (donations ok ) pontoon boat ferry from the dock (check departure etc times). Paddle boards may be available locally. And don't forget lunch at the Freight Shed right on the dock! Baddeck Theatre Playhouse operates summers. Check out local lobster suppers. Kayakking can be locally requested . Enjoy an evening ceilidh less than three blocks away, and be sure to check out the music scene at the Yacht Club or Ceilidh Hall and Inverary Resort restaurant and lounge.. 1/2 block to Freight Shed Restaurant on dock for sailboat and lake views for those warm evening dinners! Visitor Centre (summers) is very helpful ( yellow building at our main intersection into town) . Not to mention our proximity to the amazing Cabot Trail and Highlands National Park with 26+ hikers' paradise trails ! (Check our trail etc. advice with Parks Canada welcome sites, and at our helpful Visitor Centre a couple blocks away.) Recommended for trip to preplan restaurants/cafes or pick up packed lunches at the High Wheeler Cafe in town. Grocery stores in Ingonish and Cheticamp on the trail. We are a block or three from village amenities including grocery store, post office, pharmacy, library with internet computers, hospital, etc. Non-smoking quiet person or persons preferred. Airconditioned. Discount for weekly booking. You may text your host for questions prior to your arrival regarding entry and provision of keys etc. or most certainly watch your airbnb messaging for these and more details as to arrival and entry etc. Please no tobacco or cannabis use on site. Covid Airbnb Disinfecting and Cleanliness Protocols in place. Guest access Separate exterior entrance to large one bedroom suite with private bath. Breakfast can be within a block or three at local sites. Coffee maker, small fridge and microwave. Convenience store and groceries within a couple blocks. All walkable!
