This charming log cabin situated on a hillside just outside Boone is a perfect home base for your High Country adventures! Upstairs is the primary bedroom with a King bed and single Twin bed, and a private bath with shower. Outside, kids and dogs can play safely in the fenced in yard. Enjoy the ambience of the gas firetable on the deck on cool mountain evenings! History buffs will surely enjoy learning that the cabin's driveway was once part of the old ET&WNC railroad line - the line home to Engine #12 that ran through our area in the 1930's tooting her high pitched steam whistle that earned her the nickname "Tweetsie". Guests today can still experience the magic of mountain trains by visiting "Tweetsie", now over 105 years old, at her namesake theme park Tweetsie Railroad, just 15 minutes away! On a clear summer day when the wind is just right, you might even hear her whistle faintly echoing through the mountains. IMPORTANT NOTES: • This home allows 1 mature dog that weigh 30lbs or less.
