Cottage on the Shannon with rowboat

About 300 years old, lovingly expanded cottage on a large natural property right on the Shannon with its own waterfront and rowing boat. Except for the friendly, German-speaking owners (on the other hand, not visible) you only have cows and sheep as direct neighbors! On the spacious property you will find several seats and a brick barbecue. Sit directly at the Shannon and enjoy the view of the boats passing by! The space Facilities: a living room with satellite TV, CD player, also books and games are available for entertainment. Cozy fireplace room (wooden/natural stone wall), bright conservatory with exit to the terrace. Fully equipped kitchen with stove, grill and oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and juicer. Two bedrooms, each with one double bed. Sofa bed in the fireplace room. Bathroom with shower/bathtub, bidet and toilet. Second bathroom with shower and toilet, accessible from the outside. Washer and dryer in the cottage. Wifi at no extra charge. Activities and excursions: Large meadows to play (private property, no traffic). Very good fishing facilities (pike, brasse, eel, etc.) on the river bank of the property, from the own rowing boat, or also in the area. There are also opportunities for hiking, golfing (18-hole golf course about 6 km away) and cycling (3 bicycles are available). Day trips to Strandhill/Sligo (see photo with Mount Benbulbin, 62, 3 km, 1 h), Clonmacnoise south of Athlone (see photo, 93.2 km, 1.5 h), Galway (118 km, 2 hours) and Dublin (153 km, 2 h). Included: bed linens, table linens and towels, Wi-Fi, final cleaning, 1 rowboat, 3 bicycles. Use of the rowboat and bicycles at your own risk. Extra: electricity and heating Guest access Guests can use everything in the cottage and the associated shed, stay on all meadows of the spacious private property (about 50,000 m²) and use the rowboat (at their own risk). Other things to note This cottage has been successfully rented out through TUI for the past 20 years.
