A beautiful multi-cabin retreat on the pristine shores of Toddy Pond. There are a total of 4 cabins on the property: a 2-bedroom lodge + 3 smaller 1-room cabins, all with separate baths. Its minutes from miles of hiking and biking trails and Craig's National Fish Hatchery and just 30 minutes from Acadia N.P. , Bar Harbor, Belfast, Blue Hill and Bangor as well as grocery stores, restaurants, museums and galleries. The space Heritage, Lakefront Multi-Family compound featuring a two- story main lodge and three cabins accommodating up to 18 guests. Gather with your loved ones and unwind on the beautiful, pristine shores of Toddy Pond; swimming, fishing and boating. The northern basin cold-water habitat has a self-sustaining population of lake trout, and is stocked with splake, brown trout, and land-locked Atlantic salmon. You may hear the songs of the loons, see fish jumping in the water and eagles flying overhead. Explore the region or rejuvenate in your private haven, amongst loon calls. Only 35 minutes from Acadia National Park and Belfast, Blue Hill and Bangor. A 18x 20' screened pagoda with two long picnic tables is nestled in the trees. Its a perfect spot for you and your guests to come together, enjoy meals and game nights. A firepit with stone benches, a large outdoor grill and lobster pot are all ready for you too. The property also comes with a selection of kayaks and canoes, including paddles and life vests, all included in your stay. YOUR BOOKING INCLUDES: The Lobster Lodge, Boathouse Cabin, Pinetree Cabin, and Bass Tale Cabin. individual descriptions follow PARKING: Ample parking is available on the property, including in front of, or to the side of, each cabin. COMMUNICATION: The easiest way to reach us is by phone. For all issues, please text first. If the text is not returned within the hour, or if you have an emergency need, then please call. Please respect arrival time to allow for completion of any cleaning or repairs from the previous guests. ● Each cabin has a lockbox. Codes will be sent in welcome letter one week prior to your stay. ● Please remove shoes indoors. THE WELL AND WATER: ● There is a well on the property. The water has been tested and is potable. It is safe to drink and cook with. ● You can bring bottled water if you choose. ● Please limit water use whenever you can, i.e. quick showers. All cabins use the water source, and discharge to the same septic system, so your sustainable water-use practices are appreciated. ● Please do not flush anything down the toilets besides toilet paper. NETWORK AND CONNECTIONS: • Wi-Fi is available on the property. Logon instructions will be included in the welcome letter. • Cell service reception can be spotty at this end of the lake. OUTDOOR AMENITIES/SHARED SPACES: ● A large grill and a lobster cooking pot are by the fire circle ● The Lobster Shack screenhouse with tables accommodating 20+ people, alongside the waterfall. ● Firewood is currently available on the property for use in the firepit. THE NEIGHBORHOOD: • The owners of the abutting properties on both sides of the site live in their homes year-round and have dogs. Please ensure that all guests and pets respect property boundaries and stay on this property at all times. • Route 1/3 is a busy road with fast cars. Please keep pets well away from the road unless they are walking on a leash. QUIET HOURS: ● 9pm-7am ● Please be respectful of neighbors and other cabins with regards to noise and usage of space. WATERCRAFT SAFETY AND RULES: ● SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK! ● You are welcome to use the canoe and kayaks (watercraft) with full observance of watercraft rules and assumption of all personal liability. The boats are at the beach area. ● Lifejackets are on hooks near the boats. Please hang them back up after use. ● Children 12 and under MUST properly wear lifejackets, both in the swimming area and when in any watercraft. ● All non-swimmers, regardless of age, should wear a lifejacket when on or near the water. ● All persons, regardless of swimming skill, must take a lifejacket with them when using watercraft. We recommend that even swimmers wear the lifejacket when in a watercraft. There may be water patrol around, and they can issue fines for not having lifejackets. ● If you want to explore the many small islands around the lake and choose to walk around, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LIFT THE BOATS AND PADDLES COMPLETELY ONTO THE LAND. If not secured, the water currents can carry the kayaks away, making for a challenging adventure in retrieval and return to the property. ● When finished with the kayaks and canoes, please turn them over to empty water. Please hang up lifejackets and store paddles in rack ● Please store the watercraft UPSIDE DOWN, so they do not collect water. ● Please do not fly drones over the property PET POLICY: ● Well-behaved, house-trained pets are permitted on a case-by-case basis. ● Pets must be leashed or tethered if they are outside. ● There are neighbors on both sides of the property, and they have their own dogs. • Route 1 can be busy and a hazard for roaming pets. ● Please cover couches with the sheets provided for pets in the basket by the door. AREA ATTRACTIONS: We collect fliers and brochures from local businesses in our welcome binder. The property manager will often send a more detailed list of attractions closer to your visit. Please feel free to leave additional fliers for activities or places you recommend to our next guests. NO SMOKING POLICY: • Smoking is not allowed inside the cabin or within 30 feet of any building. Please respect our property and the concerns of other guests. • Please NO open flames or candles inside the cottages. CHECK OUT IS AT 10 AM: ● Leave the used bedding on the beds. That is easier for our housekeepers to manage. ● Please wash your dishes. They do not need to be put away. ● Please leave the stoves and coffee pot clean. ● Please keep trash and recyclables in the appropriate containers ● Please leave the key in the lockbox and the cabin LOCKED. ● We are committed to professional standards of cleaning and sanitation. ● All linens, towels and touch surfaces are cleaned and sanitized. ● We do not use toxic or allergenic cleaning products or decor. THE COTTAGES: The Lobster Lodge ● It is the main cabin on the property, light grey with white trim and a bright red door. ● Key lockbox to left of front door. ● The Lodge kitchen/dining/living areas are open concept. ● The kitchen has a spacious island with bar stools. It is stocked with a coffee maker, blender, pots and dishes, cups, wine glasses and silverware for up to six people. There is plenty of cabinet and cubby space for storage. ● The dining and living area have a dining table, couch with coffee table, and wood stove. ● PLEASE ONLY USE THE WOOD STOVE IF YOU KNOW HOW to operate the flues. We aren’t onsite to walk you through this, and there is a danger of carbon monoxide release if used incorrectly. ● The living room opens onto a deck overlooking the lake, beach and lawn. Bedrooms (2) ● The first-floor bedroom has a full bed, doors that close, and washer & dryer. ● The upstairs has a king bed, child bed and couch. • Linens, blankets and towels are provided in the appropriate rooms. ● There is a selection of books, games and puzzles upstairs. ● There is closet and dresser space in both bedrooms. Bathroom: • First floor full bathroom is to the right of the entry door. • Toilet paper and paper towels are provided. If you don’t use certain towel sets, please feel free to just stack them in a closet so we can conserve resources. Deck ● The back deck with table and chairs is a nice location for enjoying the view of the lake. Boathouse Cabin ● The small grey cabin with a white door and red bench located directly on the lake. ● Lockbox is on the right post of the porch. ● The cabin is a studio layout. ● The kitchenette has a sink, cooktop stove and small refrigerator. It is stocked with coffee maker, blender, pots and dishes, cups, wine glasses and silverware. ● There is some cabinet space for storage. ● The main room contains a cozy couch and full bed which overlooks the lake. ● Full bathroom though the sliding door past the bed. ● Back Dock: A table and two chairs are for your private use on the small, attached dock area. Pinetree Cabin: ● It is the small grey cabin nestled in the trees. ● The key box is to the left of sliding door. ● The cabin is a studio layout. ● The kitchenette has a sink, cooktop stove and small refrigerator. It is stocked with coffee maker, blender, pots and dishes, cups, wine glasses and silverware. ● There is some cabinet space for storage. ● The main room contains a main full bed and a double/twin bunk. • The cabin has a deck which overlooks the lake. ● Full bathroom though the folding door on the right. Bass Tale Cabin ● This cabin is on a small hill, to the left as you come down into the cabins. It is grey with a screened front porch and red door. ● The lockbox is left of the front door. ● It is set up for one or two small families to have a comfortable stay. ● The kitchen has a 4- burner stove, full refrigerator, sink, and counter tops. It is stocked with a coffee maker, pans and pots, dishes, cups, wine glasses and silverware for up to six people. ● There is some drawer space for storage. ● Bunk Beds: The open concept floor plan offers two bunk beds with full mattresses on the bottom (which can fit two people) and twin mattresses on top. A curtain can be used to separate the beds from main cabin area. ● Full bathroom with a shower. ● Toilet paper and paper towels are provided. As are towels and other linens. ● A screened porch with a sitting area from which to enjoy the fresh air, sounds of wildlife, a lake view, and of course, connecting with your loved ones. FINAL THOUGHTS: We love our little lakeside home away from home and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
