Commander's Keep Vacation Home is a piece of paradise, showcasing the most spectacular scenery and breathtaking views of the ocean and rugged coastline that Newfoundland has to offer! When you are ready to escape the frantic pace of the city, this refuge beckons! Tranquility and peace rejuvenate you as you breathe in the fresh sea air and listen to the lulling sound of the waves rolling upon the rocks and private pebble beach below. Built in 2009 this gorgeous three bedroom home maintains the feel of a traditional 100 year old Newfoundland fisherman's "saltbox" style home. The sea side of the house has floor to ceiling windows and french doors that open onto a huge wraparound deck overlooking the ocean, giving the feeling of being enveloped by the coastal grandeur! From this deck, one is given to terrific views of town and wild scenery alike, including spectacular sunsets and magenta sunrises! The main floor is entirely open concept with pine floors, natural wood walls, and high ceilings with wood beams. The striking feature is the sitting area, centred on the two sided wood-burning stone fireplace that extends two storeys high. The spacious gourmet kitchen is fully equipped to meet your every culinary need. The full bathroom on this level includes complete laundry facilities. It also has an oversized separate shower and a two person soaker tub to spoil you. The second floor has two additional bathrooms: one full bathroom and a two piece ensuite with the master. All the bedrooms have ceiling fans, in addition to having windows on two sides of each room, catching terrific cooling cross breezes. The large master bedroom, The Commander's Suite, has a queen bed; its special features are its 11' ceiling, it's retreat area in the bell dormer that gives you a bird's eye view of the Harbour, with the ocean beyond. The Seaside Suite also has a queen bed, while The Nautical Suite has two twin beds. All have pillow top beds, luxury linens, comfy quilts and fluffy bathrobes.
