Fishing Season is here! Wheelchair Accessible

Our tranquil bayside neighborhood is perfect for your quiet getaway and a great family home. Enjoy the sound of the ocean, frogs and birds singing or potentially the bugle of nearby elk. 1 block from Nehalem Bay, boasting teaming wildlife and local elk herd. Take a 5 minute drive to Manzanita's beautiful beaches, Nehalem Bay State Park, hiking, delicious dining & great shops. Short Sands Beach is just 7 minutes away. We accommodate those with mobility issues or with a wheelchair. The space With plenty of seating and a large smart tv the living area is cosy and inviting. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics you’ll need from cooking a meal to baking (bring your own ingredients) to making smoothies and coffee. Our open tiled bathroom, has a bidet toilet and touch faucet or motion activated faucet. This room is accessible to those in a wheelchair or who need a shower chair. (Just ask and one will be moved in for you prior to checkout.) There is a laundry area with a full sized washer and dryer, 1 bedroom with 1 queen bed. And 1 bedroom with bunk beds and a twin medical bed. In the entry closet you'll find beach toys, children's books, coolers and shopping bags. Next to the dining area find games, cards and puzzles for some fun! We've also got bird and animal identification books and binoculars! The spacious main bedroom has a sliding door onto the back patio and a custom sit to stand desk in the alcove if you need to work a bit while away. We've got puzzles here and a small library as well. There is a large fire pit in the fenced and grassy backyard – perfect for kids and your dog. As well as a peekaboo view of the bay from the back deck (hence our name). If you leave the windows open at night, enjoy being lulled to sleep by the relaxing sounds of the ocean. Our pet-friendly home is located 1 block from water with access to Nehalem Bay. Fishing, crabbing, bird watching, and kayaking close by. Located 5 minutes from both Manzanita and Nehalem, 7 minutes from the beach. This is a great place for your getaway! Here's why: *Fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs *Lots of games, puzzles & books *Beach toys, coolers and beach towels provided *We've thought of the extras - lint roller, extra charging cables, etc *Outdoor fire pit *Traeger grill and pellets (instructions provided) *Full bath *Speedy wifi *Large Smart TV with access your own Netflix, Prime, Hulu, subscriptions. *Fenced backyard The home comes equipped with speedy Wi-Fi. Watch your favorites by logging into your Netflix, Prime, or Hulu accounts on our smart TV. Please Note The area is home to many full time residents. It is a quiet neighborhood. Please be respectful of our neighbors. Pets are allowed. 1 pup max. A pet fee will be added. 2 cars max. 1 in paved driveway and 1 in gravel in front of house. All fire pit activities need to end at 10pm. Noises carry. Names of all guests are required at the time per the county. Guest access You have full access to the house, yard and garage. (Exceptions are housekeeper & owner cabinets in the garage and shed in the backyard.) Other things to note Our home is accessible for those in a wheelchair or with mobility issues (our younger child is in a full power wheelchair so we've done our best to make the home accommodate accessibility needs.) For Our Wheelchair Users we have: - Ramp to front door - High & low seating in the kitchen/dining area - Accessible bathroom with open shower, overhead shower & adjustable hand wand, bidet toilet with arm rails, roll under sink, touch & motion activated faucet - Both a fixed seat adjustable shower chair & a rolling shower chair (these are kept in the garage & either can be placed in the bathroom prior to your visit - please request if needed) - Electric adjustable height desk in main bedroom - Medical bed with controls in 2nd bedroom - Small portable, adjustable height hospital table (in the closet of 2nd bedroom) Things you should know: - The kitchen is not set up well for a wheelchair user to do their own cooking. - We currently do not have a ramp from the interior of the house into the garage/laundry area. - We currently do not have a ramp from the back deck into the yard.
