...this is where the fox and the owl say "good night" to each other... Our cozy farmhouse is located, nestled between meadows and fields, in the hilly landscape of Lommatzscher care. The separately accessible property is for your sole use; you only share it with our snow owls Hedwig and Schnucki, whom you can see from the bedroom, and the female eagle owl Agathe, who greets you at the barbecue area. With us, you can enjoy real country life and forget about everyday life :-) The space The low ceilings and the old wooden staircase give the lovingly furnished cottage its charm. On the first floor is the kitchen, which is ideal for cooking and features a “Küchenhexe” kitchen appliance and seating, the dining room with a small work area, and the bathroom with a shower, bathtub and washing machine (ceiling height in the bathroom: 1.85 m / 6 ft 1 in; in all other rooms: 2–2.20 m / 6.6–7.2 ft). Upstairs there is the “formal living room” for relaxing, watching a movie, or reading. In the bedroom you can snuggle up in the cozy, 1.60 cm wide, bed. Also upstairs there is a reading corner with a small selection of books. Other things to note With our 2 original mini folding bikes (they are truly vintage), you can explore the area, cycle to the Elbe, take the Elbe ferry, and sample a delicious Saxon wine at one of the wineries. Afterward, you can enjoy a lovely barbecue evening in the garden with a covered seating area or roast bread over the campfire. There are also wonderful destinations to reach by car: in 18 minutes, you can be in Meissen, stroll through the narrow streets up to Albrechtsburg Castle, or visit the porcelain factory. In about 35 minutes, you can reach Dresden, visit Frauenkirche, the Zwinger, and the palace, or you can drive about 30 minutes to Moritzburg, home to the hunting lodge of Augustus the Strong.
