Description

Detached luxury vacation home in Kinheim directly on the Moselle - with large wooden balcony, panoramic Moselle view and private garden. Ideal for up to 4 guests with two separate sleeping areas, two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and fast Wi-Fi – parking directly at the house, quiet location in the traditional wine village of Kinheim. Enjoy sunrises and sunsets over the Moselle from the balcony or from the living room with floor-to-ceiling windows. The space No one else lives in the house and garden except you, like a single-family house and spacious - if you take the balcony, there is about 160 square meters of living space, garden and barbecue area. I see the location as ingenious, pretty much exactly between Bernkastel Kues and Traben Trarbach, it is surrounded by wonderful places and stunning nature. It is very close to the Moselle, since you are no longer allowed to build there nowadays. It was built shortly after the death of Napoleon. At that time there was no such regulation. Many of my previous guests like to fish, I would never have thought of it - you can fish right in front of the house, even from the garden during floods ;-) Pikeperch, perch, eel and behind the piers of the Kinheim bridge supposedly gigantic catfish. First of all, the huge wooden balcony is for me the most beautiful box seat for Mosel and vineyards on the Middle Mosel - you sit there with wine, look at the panorama and are happy, whether in the morning, noon or evening. All guests book practically just for that reason, arrive, stand on the balcony, look at Mosel and vineyards and are blown away. This marvel is designed in such a way that you always have sun or shade, but at the same time you don't see everything, also because the house is so special, elevated on the railway embankment. It's very quiet. Guest quote: “A pearl on the Moselle. When we drove around, we always unconsciously compared, saw nothing better, really.”  The super chic and practical gas grill there is loved by me and the guests. Under the balcony there is a lot of space, a meadow and a beautiful barbecue area, but it is practically not used because the balcony offers so much more. Therefore, there is wild meadow there. Only the weeds are regularly removed so that the stone floor lovingly laid by my father does not grow over. But what is really good is that you can park the car comfortably there (access via the embankment of the former Moselbahn, the "Saufbähnchen"), closer to the house and it does not get safer. Cyclists also ride directly over the embankment to the house and park their bikes safely and dryly under the balcony. The two bedrooms are actually like two separate studios, so to speak almost like apartments in a vacation home and can be reached separately via two stairs, can be separated by a noble loft element and can be cooled separately: Guest quote: "The air conditioning is great, by the way, slept very well" Bedroom 1 has its own small bathroom with sink and toilet and is accessible in addition to the wide staircase via a gallery with spiral staircase via the kitchen. In addition, there is a huge panoramic window with seats and direct Moselle view, which alone is incredibly beautiful and absolute highlight no. 2 after the box seat. In the living room is a modern TV (QE55S95B QD OLED 4K TV) and you have fast Internet. The décor combines carefully selected pieces of furniture with contemporary classics and relics of days gone by. Excerpt from Hans Josef Ortheil's The Moselle Journey: A Child's Novel because it fits so nicely: I asked Papa why he always hiked along rivers, and Papa replied that particularly beautiful places and cities were located on beautiful rivers and that the sight of a beautiful river was very calming and went very deep into the soul. On rivers and by the sea, people are usually a little calmer and more level-headed, and he likes that…. Guest access The house and garden are only for the guests, otherwise there is no one there. The lower floor is not inhabited and is a storage room, because the Moselle likes to visit, especially between Christmas and New Year. Main access is from Schiffergasse. But you can also walk over the railway embankment to the house, or drive by car into the garden and park there for loading and unloading. Speaking of floods, you usually have them in winter until March and the only danger is for the cars, which should be moved to the elevated parking lots, or park right in front of the house in the garden, see above. The devastating flood in July 2021 on the Ahr was nothing for Moselans and not a problem for the house at all. The Moselle is also only Schiffergasse. Other things to note Hi, this is my first rental and I would be especially happy to receive suggestions for improvement and criticism.
