The first floor bedrooms in this little cottage have exposed stone walls and beams. The floors have original patterned french tiled floors. Benefits also from a bathroom with roll top bath and hand held shower.The 3rd groundfloor bedroom has an ensuite shower room. The stone walled terrace is just opposite the front door and has seating for 6. Just a minutes walk to the river for swimming in the summer or fabulous walks in the area all year round. Free Wifi. TV. The space The master bedroom has a king size bed ( 160 X 200), The two upstairs rooms have exposed stone walls, 1 with double sleigh bed ( 140 X 200) . There is also be an extra twin room 2 x 90 X 200 beds( which can be made into a 180 X 200 if needed) with exposed stone walls and original tiles . There is no wardrobe in this room but shelves space is available. There is a separate bathroom with rolltop bath on the first floor and exposed beams throughout the house. The house is situated in a small hamlet in the national park and runs along the river. A TV is available to plug a laptop/ tablet or dvd player into but no terrestrial tv in the master bedroom. Tv in the lounge area has options in french and english google TV ( for connecting to netflix etc on your own accounts) for May 2024. There is a terrace where you can eat in good weather. You enter directly into the lounge and kitchen area which has comfortable sofa seating for 5/6 people. It also benefits from a woodburner for winter months. All bedrooms have radiators for winter and fans for summer. There is a washing machine and freezer in the cellar which we also use for storage but this is accessed separately from the house. All wardrobes and cupboard space will be made available to you. The hamlet itself is particularly beautiful with lots of features and a beautiful stone bridge. There are walks directly form the front door, a beach along the river and also lots of little coves to take a romantic picnic or get away for some peace and quiet. If you are a cyclist there are VTT routes and road cycling is a dream here. The house is 4 km from Roquebrun which has restaurants, a shop, post office, and in season you can go kayaking. Ideal for fishermen and walkers and cyclists, with secure space for keeping your bikes in the cellar. I provide massage services including reflexology, reiki massage, indian head massage one day a week by the river in summer if you would like to book in advance. You can also book a forest bating session or cacao ceremony ( or mixed) of Two hours for min 4 people 25 euros each. The local bus comes to Roquebrun but they are only 3 a day so a car is recommended. We are not far from the local gorges -15 mins by car and the Voie vert ( an old railway track which you can cycle on for miles and miles.) The whole house 3 bedrooms is available for longer rentals outside of July and August for a reasonable rental. We welcome guests wising to spend the winter at the house which is cosy and allows you to make the most of the lovely winter sunshine. Guest access Lounge, Bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen. Terrace. There is a lso a CAVE for cyclists who wish to keep bikes safe. Also have access to the washing machine, freezer and a couple of bikes when available. Other things to note I am happy for guests to use the freezer in the cellar. There is a minimum 7 nights requirement for July and August, December, January, February and March. If you would like to book a long weekend in winter please request the flat rate weekend booking for 3 nights in advance. electricity charges will apply at the current price per unit between Oct and June.
