Enjoy the unique renovated and repurposed spaces at the historic Habersham Mills. The Post Office, located above the original Mill General Store, had a team of architects who meticulously worked to restore this structure. The Post Office and all 6 airbnb spaces on the property have access to the Soque River and are only 70 minutes from Atlanta and Athens, Georgia. The careful restoration of the Post Office space included preserving the original wood floor and beam ceiling, furnishing it with a reclaimed heart pine countertop and a bed and table fabricated on site with reclaimed wood from the original mill houses. During your stay you will have access to the Soque. River where you will find a screened pavilion and a screened lounge with prep kitchen. A Big Green Egg and gas grill are available for your use at the river. There is a stocked fire pit at the river's edge plus others on the property for your use. Below the shoals is a small island from which you can swim or launch kayaks which are available to rent through Melissa. Melissa lives 3 miles away and is available if you have any questions during your stay. You may explore all of the property using your map. Our Guide Book is available online for restaurant, shopping, sightseeing, and hiking suggestions. Parking is all around the property and included. It is advisable that you have your own vehicle or a rental vehicle. There are good restaurants and thrift stores in downtown Clarkesville. we are also very close to Piedmont college.
