Storybook Alpine Log Cabin is an authentic World War II log cabin from Finland which was constructed in the 1940s, disassembled & moved to Lake Chatuge in the 1980s. It's like staying in an Alpine Black Forest Clock crossed with a Jackson Hole Log Cabin. The space This cabin has two queen bedrooms and two twin beds in the loft it has two bathrooms and a fully stocked kitchen great for family meals. Cuddle up and enjoy the wood burning fireplace on cool evenings or sit by the firepit with the kids when its nice and look at the stars. Come experience this rustic wonder with the modern conveniences. Sit on the porch and enjoy your morning coffee before strolling down to the covered dock to take out a boat for the day. After grilling out in the evening, enjoy tall tales and fishing stories with friends and family. Relax, unwind, and create your own storybook adventures here on Lake Chatuge!!! Other things to note Things to do in the area: There are several companies that rent boats. There are numerous creeks and rivers for fishing. We have a car museum that a lot of people enjoy. Some people like to do the winery tours. There are several hiking trails and waterfalls to visit in the general area. Hamilton Gardens is a nice place to visit for plant lovers. Bell Mountain is quite scenic. There are several horseback riding stables in the area. Vogel State Park is worth the visit. Brasstown Bald is the highest point in Georgia.
