Walk to the beach on sandy trail, shaded with palm trees. The Eco suite is dedicated to use minimal electricity, of which the island has difficulty meeting demand. The kitchen has 2 burner cooktop, dishwater, cutting board, small refri, microwave, cafetera, pans, utensils. . Kitchen has a welcome basket with first morning’s coffee. Guest access Palapa in jardin with Yucatan hammocks. Terrace with a bench overlooking natural tropical garden. The birds & frogs serenade guests in the afternoon, seasonally , the variety depending on the season.. The large enclosed property is great for parking bikes as well. There are laundry lines in the back garden. Other things to note Here in Holbox the pace of life is different. Casa Mar is a natural haven, purposely minimalistic. The aim Is to create a slowed down world, where people are immersed in nature and the authenticity of the land and place. The Jardin is natural, not manicured, providing habitat for birds, pollinators, frogs. A palm palapa with Yucatan hammocks provide meditative space . Private gated property away from the golfcarts & busy centro. Holbox is still considered an off-the grid travel destination. Please turn off exterior lights when not using the porch, and turn off AC & fans when not inside the unit. We are all trying to conserve, as the island infrastructure is not adequate for the increased demand. No smoking property, for the mutual enjoyment of all guests & home. No parties. Please do not bring strangers into the property. Only registered guests allowed. Quiet hours 10pm - 9 am for the mutual relaxation of all guests & household. No loud music heard outside room. Down at the beach, look for Alberto Bananas palapa for paddleboard, bike, hammock rentals. Spend the day hanging in a hammock for only $50pesos an hour at his funky palapa, even served fresh coconut. -please see House Rules in listing- No smoking.
