Located in a peaceful neighborhood on a dead-end street, our cabin provides a secluded escape set back into the woods, with the added charm of being on a farm with cows that adore treats and attention. As you explore the expansive property, you'll discover the beauty of nature with abundant wildlife. Deer frequently forage right off the back porch, creating a serene backdrop for your stay. Relax and unwind on the large porch, where you can enjoy your morning coffee with a stunning forest view, grazing cattle, and the delightful presence of local wildlife. For history enthusiasts, our property is not far from the Old Spanish Trail, an area where Native Americans once lived. Digging in the sand has revealed artifacts, and there are intriguing stories of gold possibly buried by indigenous people who crossed paths with early settlers. Feel free to explore these historical aspects with metal detectors for a unique and fascinating experience. Convenience is at your fingertips, with a small town just down the road featuring fuel stations and a Dollar General. Our cabin features two bedrooms—one with a comfortable queen bed and the other with a cozy full bed. There is one bathroom, ensuring convenience and privacy during your stay. Despite the serene rural setting, our cabin is well-connected to urban centers. It's approximately -45 minutes to downtown Houston -50 minutes to Hobby Airport -45 minutes to IAH -15 minutes to Grand Parkway (TX-99) -40 minutes to Baytown - 1 hour to Beaumont Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat, a historical adventure, or a convenient base for urban exploration, our cabin is the perfect getaway. Please note that while our friendly cows share the land, it's essential to exercise caution when interacting with them. We look forward to hosting you and providing an unforgettable experience in our cabin in the woods. Guest access Guests are welcome to roam anywhere on the 20 acres. The property line is marked with barbwire fencing, do not cross these fence lines or purple painted trees, only enter/exit through unlocked gates. These fences have sharp points to keep the cattle from pushing on them which will cut you if tampered with. Please leave gates the way you find them. If they are closed, close and LATCH them back after entering. We do not want cattle escaping the property. WARNING: Do not swim or wade in any water source, there are large alligators present. Other things to note Please be respectful of wild and domestic animals. Keep in mind animals are unpredictable and interactions with them can result in injury. There are dangerous wildlife living in the vicinity including; alligators, coyotes, hogs, and snakes. Do not swim in the lake or ponds!
