The space Welcome to the Family House at Still Water Flats, a spacious and thoughtfully designed riverfront retreat built in 2024. This home is perfect for hosting larger groups or multiple families, especially when booked together with our four other chalets on the property. As you step through the front door, you’ll be welcomed by soaring ceilings, abundant natural light, and a modern living room that invites you to relax. A stunning fireplace anchors the space and draws your eye upward, highlighting the vertical beauty of the room. Just behind the living area, you’ll find a chef-inspired kitchen with upscale appliances and a massive 10-person dining table — the ideal spot for memorable meals and family gatherings. This home features four beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom. On the main level, three bedrooms include plush King-sized beds, while the upstairs loft offers a cozy twin daybed and trundle and a private fourth bedroom with a Queen-sized bed. Every bedroom includes a flat screen TV and is stocked with all the starter essentials for a comfortable stay, including shampoo, conditioner, soap, and a hairdryer. Soaring 10-foot ceilings, 8-foot doors, and hardwood floors throughout the home create an elevated and spacious feel from top to bottom. Inside, enjoy friendly competition around the foosball table or gather for a classic board game night. Step out the back door to a covered deck with ambient lighting and serene views of the Watauga River. Whether you’re sipping coffee (with both Keurig and traditional coffee makers available), dining al fresco, or just soaking in the natural beauty, it’s the perfect setting to unwind. Below the home, a long grassy riverbank invites you to relax in the hammock or spend a lazy afternoon kayaking along the peaceful water. We provide kayaks and life jackets exclusively for guests staying on the property. It’s a great way to explore the river at your own pace — just be sure to wear a life jacket and return everything after use. Finish your evening by the fire pit in the Adirondack chairs, taking in the sounds of the river and the warmth of the fire. Please note: The rental does not include access to the garage. An icemaker is located behind the fridge in the island. Photo shoots, parties, and events must be approved in advance based on pricing and availability. No pets are allowed, and the primary renter must be at least 25 years old. Guest access Waterfront property with close to 700 feet of river frontage to walk, fish, relax, and enjoy!
