Enjoy staying in our home, with direct access across the street to the newly established rail trail (only two access points in Lake Placid) which runs from Placid to Saranac Lake. This is not a professional rental, but instead our family home. This location allows for easy access in and out of lake placid, while only being one mile from downtown. Some of our favorite features of the house are a large deck off the back, a sun room for lounging, and a private outdoor shower. PERMIT STR-002228 If you're coming to Lake Placid to hike, rest, race, or reconnect - our home is set up for it all. A ranch style house with plenty of books, board games and outdoor space, you'll be able to enjoy sunny and rainy days alike. With the newly completed rail trail, our house boasts easy walking or biking access to the Ironman course (less then a mile to the Lisa G's corner via rail trail), safe and walking options to Ray Brook and Saranac Lake. Guest access for the house will be from the front door and rear slider on the back deck. We will lock off the basement/downstairs and garage, as we store our personal belongings in that space while not staying in the house. This 3-bedroom house is perfect for your escape to Lake Placid. Our house sits on just under an acre and is across the street from one (of only two) access points to the newly established rail trail. The bedrooms are thoughtfully furnished with a king bed, a full bed, and a twin bed with trundle, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep for everyone. Our house is the perfect stay for folks that want to explore downtown as well as explore other nearby Adirondack communities. Situated only a mile from Herb Brooks Arena, The Lake Placid Olympic Museum, and main street - getting to and around town is close and easy. We are also located near the main (back) road taking you (easily) out of town to either Keene Valley (high peaks region) or Saranac Lake (Lakes Region). Our house also features a private outdoor shower, which is a must do in the summertime along with a cozy sun room set up for reading and relaxing, or use it as your summer office away from home. You will be the only guests staying at the property and have access to the main floor of the house, and outside areas. We will lock off the basement and garage for our personal thins. We are happy to connect with guests as much or little as they'd like. We will be living in the town next door (Saranac Lake), and love giving recommendations and guidance for anything local. We love sharing this area with others, and all the things it has to offer. I know it can be a quandary to book a house without any reviews. If you want to know more about us as hosts, my husband and I also own and host a tiny cabin on Hipcamp on our property in Saranac Lake - so if you'd like to see reviews of us as hosts, you can simply search for 'Mt Baker Tiny Cabin' in Saranac Lake on HipCamp to read reviews.
