Walk to large park just up the The space Great Room The great room encompasses both living and dining areas and features a handmade adobe brick gas fireplace, post and beam timbers, and a collection of our Native art. The space is warm and cheery - with room for your group to spread out to relax, play games, watch TV, cook, and eat together. The living area features a comfortable leather sectional facing an entertainment center with TV and drawers full of games. The open concept chef's kitchen has everything you need - a side-by-side refrigerator / freezer, double oven stove, blender, toaster, rice cooker / slow cooker, microwave, Keurig for pods and brew coffee, and water kettle along with cookware, dining ware and utensils for casual dining needs. The kitchen features a large prep bar where you can cook while others sit across on the barstools to keep you company or give advice ;) The dining table seats six and with overflow at the bar and the provided high-chair, your group can all share in meals together. Light-Filled Work Area Behind the dining area, divided by a half wall, is the perfect place to get some work done. A small desk and chair sit near a window with peaceful views of the private backyard and coyote fence. An oak library bookcase features a collection of cookbooks, local histories and sightseeing books, novels, and children's books for you to enjoy. Peaceful Yoga Space Across from the work area and tucked away behind the kitchen is a dedicated space for you to practice yoga or do daily stretching. We've provided yoga mats and seated bolsters along with a large mirror to check your posture. After yoga, relax in the comfy chair and watch the pine trees and birds through the large window. Downstairs Bedrooms and Bath From the open space of the living area, you will find two delightful bedrooms with queen size beds and views to the private yard and coyote fence. The larger of the two also features another workspace with a desk and chair. In the other bedroom, you'll find a closet the length of the room available to store hanging clothes and any luggage. The bedrooms share a bathroom accessed from each bathroom with secure pocket doors. The bathroom features a new tiled and glass enclosed shower with waterfall showerhead for a spa-like experience. Master Suite and Deck Up a short half flight of stairs from the front door, you enter the master suite with a king size bed, a wall of glass and windows facing the foothills and rising sun, and a large sunset deck with city views. The master suite provides privacy, away from the ground floor living spaces, and has a reading chair and a chaise lounge waiting for you to curl up with coffee and a book. Enjoy the large newly updated spa bathroom - featuring two sinks, generous countertops, a separate wash closet with toilet, and a separate bathing area with modern soaking tub and walk-in shower with rainfall showerhead. A large walk-in closet completes the bathroom area. The city-facing deck may become your favorite place to eat with amazing views of the colorful desert sunsets and lights of Albuquerque. Patio and Yard From the work area and yoga space downstairs, you can step out into the private yard with xero scape natural wildness, mature pines and other trees providing shade, seclusion, and bird habitat. The yard is fully fenced with coyote fence - coyote fencing is common in New Mexico and the name originated from the intent that the fencing would be coyote-proof and keep the coyotes away from ranch animals. Our coyote fence honors the history of our area and makes the outdoor space special. You can enjoy the tiled patio tucked to the side of the house under leaf coverage in the spring through fall. We require 48 hours notice to set up the movie theatre. For Our Guests with Dogs For those with dogs, we ask that you keep them on leash when outdoors for their safety. While you can let them off leash in our yard, please note that we cannot state the coyote fence is 100% secure and that your dog cannot escape. Additionally, while it is a "coyote" fence, it is more decorative than ranch fences and we do not promise it will keep coyotes out. Local wildlife include coyotes, deer, rabbits, squirrels, and bears. Large cats are more rare and avoid people but they are present in this mountain range. While coyote, bear, and large cats do not usually come down into the neighborhoods, they are wild animals and we are not responsible for their behaviors :) Guest access House access through self check in via smart lock. Code will be provided from host with check in instructions. Other things to note This house has amazing views of the mountains to the east and walkable to trailheads. It also has a new deck with comfortable lounge chairs and sofa under shade off the primary bedroom to watch sunsets, the Balloon Festival, and the fabulous New Mexico sky.
