We welcome you to sit back, relax and enjoy yourselves because that's exactly what the beach is for! As you pull up to "Paws. . . and RELAX!" A PF getaway in the clouds, you are immediately greeted by an amass of pilings, pillars, and bracings that almost resemble a massive, elevated ship getting ready for its maiden voyage! Underneath the home, there’s space for 6-8 vehicles dependent upon size. Two separate stairways (one Eastern, one Western) provide access up to your CB Sandcastle in the clouds. The entry to this truly unique 3 bedroom/3.5 bath home opens up into a “galley” of bedrooms and bathrooms strewn across the sandy first-floor footprint. Residing at the intersection of Sand Fiddler Ln and Canal Drive, Glousterman offers unimpeded Atlantic views throughout the home thanks to the access. The Northern end of the home affords various ICWW and canal marshland views. From feather grass and sandy dunes to hazy sunrises and drifts of sand illuminated by the moon, access to EVERYTHING Pleasure Island has to offer is steps from your room. A pair of spacious bedrooms (#1 and #2) accommodate adventurers with Queen size beds, private wardrobes, and plenty natural light and all the vitamin SEA one can possibly need! The laundry room rests conveniently just off the main hallway. Heading to the Northern most tip of SS Glousterman, the captains’ quarters await! Complete with a King size bed, private wet bar, mini-fridge, ensuite bath (with jacuzzi-tub) and French door access outside, the master bedroom (bedroom #3) is definitely where the treasure chest would be kept, courses charted, and parrot would ask for a cracker! A Queen size pullout is also available inside the master for an impromptu extra guest upgrade! 1 set of the following will be made on a per bed/per person basis to help you be comfortable on your adventure! Bed sheets (fitted/flat set), bath towels, wash cloths, cleaning rags, pillowcases, bathmats and kitchen towels. Laundering or extra sets are not an available service regrettably. Please make sure all used linens are placed in one location in the home at departure. Please let all BED LINENS remain on the beds for our TEAM to take care of! A sincere thanks for your help and we hope that YOU have an AMAZING ADVENTURE! As we open the French doors out onto the deck, an incredible expansive outdoor space opens! Complete with a (second!) wet bar, sectional couch, lounge chairs, and numerous other R&R specific furnishings, the sprawling wrap-around deck is surely a sight to behold. The centerpiece of the entertainment area is an 8-person hot tub which overlooks the marshland and is the perfect exclamation point to cap off a day of beach combing and sun soaking. As we head upstairs towards the homes upper mast, you soon encounter a large open layout comprised of a dining area, gourmet kitchen, and family room. Granite, stainless steel, and the newest technologies are strewn across the space. Just off the family room sits a lofty exterior balcony complete with a dining table for 6, views for days, and long overdue conversations that last indefinitely. 1 courtesy soap, shampoo and conditioner are left in the bathroom of each home as well as 2 rolls of TP per bath, 1 makeup wipe and one backup toothbrush. 1 roll of paper towel, a sponge, dish soap, 2 trash bags per receptacle and (*as applicable) 3 dishwasher and laundry pods will be available to use if needed! Neighborhood description Pleasure Island is a coastal barrier island in Southeastern North Carolina, USA just south of the City of Wilmington. Pleasure Island is located within Federal Point Township, in New Hanover County. The coastal resort towns of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, as well as the annexed communities of Wilmington Beach and Hanby Beach are located on the island. The home itself is under one block from the nearest beach access. There are fireworks during the summer every Thursday night, Movies at the lake each Sunday night, and local fairs around the lake each Saturday morning. Carolina Beach is a mix of friendly locals, snowbirds, and vacationers all looking to escape the inland and enjoy the sand, surf, and atmosphere. Carolina Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods offer an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here. Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through Carolina Beach State Park, Fishing on the Kure Beach Pier, kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the Intracoastal Waterway, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. Our own local Brewery (Good Hops) along with a round of Frisbee golf may be what the doctor ordered! You can catch a Ferry to Southport in Kure Beach @ 2422 Fort Fisher Blvd S Kure Beach which leads to another ferry to Bald Head Island where NO CARS are allowed at all! GOLF CARTS •To the county, golf carts are considered automobiles. Generally speaking, golf carts are NOT allowed on premises of ANY condo, condotel, or apartment. The same goes for trailers, motorcycles, etc. For SFR’s or properties supporting multiple vehicles, carts should be OK. However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCI’S (which are code by today’s standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions. Gas carts will generally be the ideal rental option if in a home whose parking supports such. •ALL suites are non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways. • SWRE contractual quiet hours begin at 9:00pm EST. Town ordinance may allow more latitude with regards to noise (11:00pm) but our expectations are to help ensure all guests, locals, and neighbors alike have an enjoyable experience. •NO BBQing on ANY decks or porches. This is a huge fire hazard and is fineable by the town (as is removing batteries from any smoke or co2 alarms). We work extremely hard to keep all our guests safe, and sometimes that takes teamwork! •There is a $150 non-refundable pet fee for up to two pups. There is a two-dog maximum unless an exception is granted. •April 1st through September 30th, dogs are allowed on the Carolina Beach during restricted hours of BEFORE 9:00 am and AFTER 5:00 pm. Please be responsible to follow all town pet ordinances and have an awareness as to which beach you are on at all times! Pup rules for Pet Friendly homes *Rules and reminders to prevent additional charges! •Any interactions between your furry son or daughter and other neighbors (animal OR human) are completely at your discretion (and *liability). Please be a responsible pup owner and protect yourselves and others as may be necessary! •Pups are NEVER allowed on any furniture. (*Single biggest added charge from the cleaners/owners post stay.) •Be sure to use a broom or vacuum if your buddy sheds in excess. •Do NOT let your pup bark excessively in any multi-unit environment. •ALWAYS pick up after your pup IMMEDIATELY after the potty sesh. •If maintenance needs to visit, ENSURE your pup is put in their respective kennels. This coincides with rule #1. •If the home/apartment has an outdoor shower, please use it to rinse off your pup after a day of fun. Not only will that help to prevent a potential plumbing call (typically pup hair: that would fall to the guest to remedy $), but a clean pup is much less likely to result in a post stay hygiene charge (sand+salt+stinky can =$). *As a furry Dad myself, I understand how hard it can be to find Pup Friendly accommodations! Please help us to keep our owners happy and protect the rental from damage and unnecessary wear & tear so we can always be here to support our guests with sandy paws and salty noses! •Please always consider TRAVEL INSURANCE from your respective booking site or vendor to help protect your costs in case of inclement weather or last-minute travel complications (court, illness, etc.). These items are NOT refundable scenarios unless the property itself is compromised. If that does happen, we will do our absolute best to find you alternative housing.
