Getting Around: Taxis: Local taxi services are available. If you’re heading to an event like a wedding, we recommend pre-booking to ensure timely transportation. Uber/Lyft: Hood River doesn’t currently have rideshare services. Thankfully, most essentials—yoga, coffee, bakery, grocery store, brewery, wine bar, steakhouse, salon—are within a few blocks. There is actually a really cool loop that takes you down a hiking (or biking) path with a view of Hood River River---so pretty, down to the downtown (about 1 mile walk), then you can loop back that same way, or walk into the neighborhood to the Heights.
