Cozy RV at Tranquility Bay with AC
The Property: Camping under the stars by the lake without the hassle! Cozy up around the Solo Stove smokeless fire pit while looking at the views of Tranquility Bay of Big Stone Lake. The Otters Den is centrally located adjacent to the lake on the South Dakota side between 2 public boat launches and close to Hartford Beach State Park. This private property offers a fully furnished camper with everything you need for a memorable adventure. This area is renowned for its fishing and hunting. The space Surrounded by nature and views of Tranquility Bay, enjoy a relaxing camping getaway like no other, but also a short distance to the quaint towns of Big Stone City and Milbank, SD and Ortonville, MN. The property the camper is on is approximately 80’ by 200’ and has plenty of room to park your boat(s) and trailers on the driveway. This 2019 Salem CruiseLite Camper is in pristine condition with all the amenities of water, electric, sewer, heat and air conditioning. It sleeps up to 6 guests, however we recommend no more than 4 for maximum comfort – a queen-short size bed, with a brand new mattress, for two adults, 2 single bunk beds with memory foam, and a dinette which converts to a bed for 2. All bedding, additional blankets, towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. There is a full bathroom inside the camper with toilet, sink, and shower. The kitchen has a propane range (3 burners and an oven), microwave, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker with complementary tea, McCafé coffee (regular and decaf), creamer, and sugar provided, and all necessities – cookware, utensils and dinnerware. A Weber BBQ propane grill and Solo Stove smokeless fire pit are provided as well (bring your own wood, no wood provided). There is a small tv that has an antenna for local channels, amazon fire stick if you stream with your own hotspot/data, and a blue-tooth stereo with interior and exterior speakers. There 4 USB ports available next to the main bed. There’s a good chance you may see some wildlife during your stay at The Otters Den. Some of the wildlife we have seen are pheasants, deer, turkey, geese, pelicans, ducks, mink, beaver, fox, and best of all OTTERS!! Otters are our favorite, hence the name The Otters Den! There are outlets outside for charging your boat batteries. Cold season: we are currently in the process of installing heated pads for the storage tanks and will have a heated water hose. So for the fall hunters out there, we expect to have the camper fully functional even once it freezes at night. However once it is consistently below freezing we will close down for the season. Have a friend with a camper but you don't have a camper so you're booking with us? Ask us for details on additional camper hook-ups for your friend to bring their camper (there are no other campers on the property otherwise) Guest access There are stakes marking the property line, please stay within those lines (as well as contain pets, vehicles and boats to that same space). Please keep vehicle and boat on the driveway. Other things to note For long term stays: Guests should be aware that the RV holding tanks for sinks, shower and the toilet, have limited capacity and must have its tanks emptied every couple of days or so depending on use. If guests wish to stay more than a couple of days, it will be necessary to request a host or host representative to come and service the tanks.
