Description
Welcome to our beautiful lakefront home nestled on Trout Lake, North Bay, Ontario, 15 minutes from the downtown core. Located among twisted cedars and impressive pines, this four-season private home will allow you to experience gorgeous sunrises and sunsets over the lake and through the trees. Trout Lake offers fantastic fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. Bring your jet skis or power boat along. Relax in the evening roasting marshmallows by the firepit or enjoy a hot tub overlooking the lake. The space This home sits lakeside on a sloping property, so the ability to handle some stairs is required. There is parking for two vehicles at the bottom of the driveway where there is an entrance to the lower level of the home. There is also a parking pad a little bit further down the road past the driveway, with plenty of parking space available. There is a stone staircase with just over 20 stairs that leads down to the entrance to the upper level of the home. There is a large dock with plenty of space to sit or stretch out to enjoy the waterfront, with a sandy shoreline on either side of the dock. The lake is beautiful for swimming and paddling, and is popular with those who fish as well. There are three kayaks available to be used, although currently only two paddles. We keep lifejackets in the closet in the lower level of the home to keep them dry between uses. The home was fully renovated in 2018. The upper level has two bedrooms (king bed, queen bed), a full bathroom, mud room, a custom kitchen, and an open living room with gas fireplace and gorgeous views of the bay. The lower level has a third bedroom (queen bed), laundry room, full bathroom, and movie/family room, with a queen-size pull-out sofa. For those who enjoy TV or a movie at night, there is a 4K 135-inch projection system and home theatre sound. In addition to seating on the dock, there are multiple seating areas around the property, including lounge furniture overlooking the lake, a six seat dining area, and a fire pit with plenty of firewood. There is a six person hot tub and portable sauna (like an ice fishing pop-up with a wood burning stove) available for your use. There is a small deck off the entrance to the upper level of the home with a propane BBQ, propane griddle, and charcoal BBQ. There is about 750 feet of forest on the west side of the property before you get to the next neighbour, and there is a series of hiking trails across the road, with various entrances from the street. The street is very quiet, being a dead end road about 2.5 kms in length, with houses just on the lake side of the road. It is popular with walkers and cyclists. Guest access Note that this is a three bedroom home, with two bedrooms on the upper floor and one on the lower floor. The fourth sleeping space is a queen pull-out sofa in the lower level. It has an upgraded mattress and is quite comfortable, but it is in an open area of the home. In addition, there is a queen-size inflatable bed that is available for use as required. Other things to note We use this home ourselves where possible, so you'll see that we keep some items stocked, such as kitchen staples, condiments, spices, paper towel, toilet paper, etc. These are all available for your use while you are our guests.
