There is a host that lives on property with her 2 small dogs in the small casita in the back in case of an emergency. Please note that Hurricane Maria terribly damaged Puerto Rico's power grid. The island has committed billions of dollars to improving the situation but the power remains fragile. There are outages from time to time. Most don't last long--an hour or two. However, they can last a day or more. We are installing solar panels in September 2024, which should mean you'll never know if power goes out in the neighborhood. But the solar will not cover all energy needs if the power is out for more than a day.
