Mountain Getaway near Brevard NC

Cozy and light-filled apartment with private entrance on the ground level of our recently built house (2018) in Pisgah Forest. We are located in a private wooded community. Easy access to grocery stores and downtown Brevard (a 10 minute drive) where you will find unique shops and restaurants. We are 5 minutes to the entrance of Pisgah National Forest, about 20 minutes to DuPont Forest, 30 minutes to downtown Asheville, and 20 minutes to downtown Hendersonville. The space The space is ideal for two adults. A baby or toddler is welcome and equipment such as a pack-and-play and high chair are available if needed. Be aware that sleeping arrangements might be tight with an older child. Just let us know the details about your party before you arrive so we can be sure you will have what you need. We are located in a private wooded community approximately 4 miles from the entrance to Pisgah Forest. The apartment is equipped with everything you will need for a comfortable stay, including sheets and towels, toiletries, and all the kitchen gadgets and essentials to create great meals when you decide to stay in. Perfect location to base yourself to explore the wonders of Transylvania County, the Land of Waterfalls. The area is renowned as a place for mountain biking, hiking, golfing, and just exploring nature. We know the area very well and can advise you on where to go for the best outdoor adventures. When you've had enough of the wonders of nature there is plenty to do in the area, including the towns of Brevard, Hendersonville, and Asheville. You will also enjoy just staying in and relaxing watching TV or movies on the 2 TVs (one Smart TV, both with Cable). You can listen to music with the Echo Dot. The apartment is equipped with a queen-size bed, full kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals when you decide to stay in for the day and relax inside. There is a lovely covered porch overlooking the woods with a porch swing, an outdoor table, and a charcoal grill for dining alfresco. There is also a side yard with a fire pit. You might even catch sight of the resident white squirrel! This a quiet area when on clear nights you will see a sky full of stars. Access is down a flight of stone steps so is not readily handicapped accessible (see pictures). Parking is in our shared driveway. We live in the main house and are happy to have as much or as little contact as our guests desire. Guest access Access to the apartment is through the sliding doors on the patio, which is at the bottom of the stone steps leading from the driveway (park by the lamp post on the right side of the driveway). The door will be unlocked, and a key will be on the table for your use during your stay. The thermostat is on the wall on the left side of the bathroom, should you need to adjust the temperature. Just let yourself in and get comfortable!
