Welcome to Yaupon Cottage! A private carriage house in the beautiful DeLand historic district — blocks away to downtown restaurants, shops, breweries, and Stetson University; a short drive to area beaches (Daytona & New Smyrna), Disney, and Orlando attractions. Comfortably sleeping five, enjoy the over-sized bedrooms, a rustic reading room, and second-floor screened porch. For the art lover, you’ll be surrounded by original paintings throughout. Enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, or hot cocoa. The space The first floor consists of a kitchen, living room, and small dining space. The second floor has two large bedrooms (one with a dedicated workspace and access to the laundry room; the other is set up as a multi-function room with a full-sized futon, twin daybed, a four-seat dining table, mini-fridge, and TV), full bathroom, reading room, and screened-in porch. The cottage shares the property with the owner’s home. Guest access Guests can access the cottage after getting the front/back door key from the lockbox located on the backside of the left porch pillar, closest to the front door. Other things to note The cottage provides space to comfortably accommodate up to 5 guests. Any guests beyond 5 will be subject to an additional fee. We’ve recently installed a chairlift for guests who need assistance between the first and second floors. We respectfully ask that you do not use the chairlift if you do not need it. (Please no joy rides.)
