Riverside retreat in the Alps

Experience a luminous apartment in a unique setting, where wilderness meets comfort with close parking and Wi-Fi. 'Riverside retreat' isn't for a place everybody. To get the most out of it you must enjoy simple things: having breakfast in your own garden, popping down to the crystal clear torrent to have a cold dip, admiring the wildlife that you may spot from your panoramic windows or going for long walks into the unspoiled surrounding nature. The space The apartment is on the top floor of a house built in 1905, when this corner of Val Mastallone was cherished by the esteemed families of Turin's prominent industrialists. The building is isolated and is part of a hamlet with 5 independent historical houses Entering inside the apartment, there is a small hallway leading to the two bedrooms, the bathroom, and the dining/living room. The first bedroom has two single beds that can be joined to form a double bed, while the second has a traditional French double bed (140 cm) and a balcony. The living room and dining area are a single space with a long balcony overlooking the river and the forest and with a small kitchen nextdoor. Guest access The valley can be reached from Malpensa Airport with one-and-a-half-hour drive. Guests have access to a free parking spot from which they can reach the garden via a grassy downhill slope. From the garden, they ascend an external staircase leading to the exclusive entrance of the apartment. Other things to note Fobello and the Mastallone Valley are places of great charm. In addition to its almost pristine beauty, it is the birthplace of Vincenzo Lancia, the founder of the renowned automotive company Lancia, who in the early decades of the last century introduced the wonders of the valley to his entrepreneur friends from Turin. Some of them, enchanted by the climate and the landscape, wanted to build their summer holiday retreats here. Today, these splendid buildings still stand, inhabited by their descendants or new owners. The valley is dotted with small rural hamlets and these magnificent villas known by the names of the original owning families such as Lancia, Borsalino, Koelliker, Lanza, or the most original Villa Musy, which still belongs to the descendants of the prominent jewelers to the House of Savoy, the ruling family of Italy until 1946.
