The Mansion at Vincent Forge is a fully restored and renovated historic home situated on the banks of French Creek. The house has multiple indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces and can sleep up to 16 guests. (Notification is required if you plan more than 16 guests, addnl fee). An adjacent Cottage sleeps up to 6. Mansion is included in the National Historic Register and has been renovated and decorated to the highest standard. The Mansion is set in lush garden in a bucolic riparian landscape The space Entering the mansion from the garden there is a large entry hall with custom walnut wild edge stairs leading to two en-suite bedrooms on the right and the family room on left. The family room is the original cottage built in 1700 and one of the oldest inhabited structures in Chester County. A large contemporary wood burning stove hangs in the tradition inglenook fireplace. Leading from the family room is the main mansion, added 1769. Entering the large modern custom eat-in chef kitchen from the family room with fireplace and from here you enter the tradition dog trot hallway. From this hall is the formal dining room and the office/snug with fireplace. And original regency panelling. The original wood staircase leads to three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the second floor and two bedrooms and one bathroom on the third floor. All bedrooms have original wood floors, closets or armoirs and have queen or king beds. The attic bedrooms also have a twin bed each. Outside are extensive lawns leading to picturesque French Creek and multiple porches and a huge brick patio with seating and dining furniture, fire pits and gas grill. There are quiet seating areas in the garden under some of our specimen trees Guest access You can use the entire space except the private parking garage and patio garden of the adjacent cottage which rents separately.
