Description

Experience the charm of The Triangle Cabin, a cozy A-frame retreat offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Colorado mountains. Just 1.5hrs from Denver, this inviting hideaway provides a serene escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Thoughtfully appointed, the cabin features a hot tub with epic views, cozy fire-pit, a fully equipped kitchen and an array of games and books to encourage you to unwind and disconnect. AWD or 4WD will be required to access The Triangle from Sept 1st-May 31st The space 🏡 The Triangle Cabin has a large main living area, and an upstairs loft bedroom. The loft is appointed with a comfy queen sized bed, and the living area has a queen sized memory foam sleeper sofa. Unwind by the fire pit on the back patio with mountain views during the day or star-gaze while soaking in the hot tub all evening. 🫎 Our Cabin is remote. The only (human) neighbors are way off in the distance, and that's one of the things we love so much about the place. The wildlife neighbors stop by to say hello from time to time. We see pronghorn antelope, hawks, bunnies, hummingbirds, bluebirds, and we have been told the occasional moose stops by. 🍂 Our cabin is just a few minutes' drive from beautiful Kenosha Pass, and the Colorado Trail, which goes from Durango to Denver. Kenosha Pass is one of the best places to view the gorgeous changing aspen leaves in the fall & is beautiful for hikes all year round! 🎣 Nearby Jefferson Lake and Tarryall Reservoir are great places for fishing, picnicking and hiking. Local ranches offer horseback riding and ATV tours. 🌲 Mountain Cabin Weather & Conditions (Read Before Booking) Our cabin is a true high-altitude mountain retreat at 9,500 ft, offering stunning views, fresh air, and peaceful seclusion—but also highly changeable alpine weather year-round. Guests should expect everything from sunshine to strong winds and heavy snowfall, sometimes within the same day. ❄️ Seasonal Weather & Winter Conditions (Sept–May) Winter and shoulder seasons bring snow, ice, and rapidly changing conditions. We recommend checking the forecast before arrival and packing accordingly. The cabin is a cozy 1970s mountain build and may be creaky in high winds, which is part of its rustic charm. Light sleepers may prefer bringing earplugs or a sound machine. We regularly maintain the property by salting walkways, decks, and hot tub areas, but natural mountain conditions can still create slippery surfaces—please use caution when walking outdoors. 🧳 What to Pack for Your Stay Due to altitude and weather variability, please bring: - Warm layers & insulated outerwear - Thick socks, slippers, and cozy indoor clothing - Waterproof boots (winter months) - Optional: altitude support (e.g., oxygen canister, ibuprofen if sensitive) The cabin is heated with baseboard heaters and supplemental portable heaters for comfort. There is NO AC, only a ceiling fan, a free standing fan and the fresh mountain air. 🚗 Important Driving & Access Information From September 1st – May 31st, conditions can be unpredictable. An AWD or 4WD vehicle with good ground clearance is strongly required. No refunds will be issued for weather-related travel issues or unsuitable vehicles. If a vehicle becomes stuck, guest tow costs are typically $400–$500 plus $100–$175 plowing fee We recommend confirming road conditions before arrival or departure A snow plow contractor services the road when 4–6 inches of snow are forecast, but guests should verify access before driving ⚠️ Safety Note This is a true mountain property designed for guests who are comfortable with rural, high-elevation winter conditions and variable weather. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND PURCHASING TRAVEL INSURANCE BEFORE BOOKING OUR CABIN 🎿 VISIT BRECKENRIDGE - 50 minutes to ski resorts including Breckenridge, Keystone & Copper Mountain - avoid the i70 and come the scenic route along the 285 and over Hoosier pass ⛷️ 🌟 Check out @triangle.cabin on socials for exclusive offers and insights! 🌟 Amenities: ♟️ Board Games - we have a selection of board games and books for your entertainment 🔥 Fire pit - enjoy a glass of wine by the fire. It is a propane fire pit, so no wood is needed. (Open flames are not permitted in Park County) 🍗 BBQ Grill - there is a small 2 burner propane grill perfect for grilling out on the deck with a gorgeous view. 💦 Hot Tub (Soak under the Stars✨) Enjoy a private outdoor hot tub experience with mountain views and starry skies—perfect for relaxing after a day in nature. 🧼 Hot Tub Care & Guest Guidelines The hot tub is professionally serviced, but due to the cabin’s rural, nature-surrounded location, occasional debris (such as small pebbles or sand) may enter the water. We recommend wearing flip flops when entering/exiting the tub. In summer months, bugs and insects are common in the area and may occasionally reach the hot tub. A net is provided for easy removal, and a spa vacuum is available upon request for small debris. To maintain water quality: - Please shower before entering the hot tub - Avoid using lotions, oils, or creams beforehand as these can disrupt water balance and may require a $95 additional cleaning fee ⚠️ Safety & Liability Hot tub use is at your own risk. Guests should consult a medical professional if they have any health concerns and use caution when entering or exiting the tub. The hosts and Airbnb assume no liability for hot tub use during your stay. 🐞 Nature & Bugs (Seasonal Notice) As a remote mountain cabin surrounded by nature, insects and wildlife are part of the environment—especially in summer. While our cleaning team maintains the property and we provide bug spray and a fly swat, guests who are sensitive to insects should consider this before booking. Guest access You will have access to the entire house, and the entire 3 acre property, with the exception of the storage shed. Guests use the hot tub at their own risk. Other things to note The small spiral staircase is a tight squeeze, so please be aware. No Parking is permitted on County Roads 📱Cell phone reception is spotty, but we do have WiFi! 👶🏼🚫 In general, the property isn't suitable for young children (under 12 years) and there aren’t any children’s amenities (eg pack n play or high chair). Please reach out if you have any further questions on this. STR Licence #: 26-0120
