This Happy as a Clam Home is an ideal family vacation home, just 6 blocks from the ocean and just a few minute walk to The Island Greenway Walk/Bike Trail (off-street trails, parks and scenic areas) and Mike Chappell Park. Mike Chappell Park is a 10-acre park and has something for everyone in the family, it is equipped with two tennis courts (Pickle Ball), 1 basketball court, 1 youth basketball area, playground equipment, baseball and softball fields, soccer field and skate park (newly renovated - 8,000 square foot skate park is complete with ramps, rails, and bowls). Some of the best fishing spots and extensive hiking trails. Great restaurants and shopping nearby, 8 miles to the NC aquarium at Ft. Fisher, and 20 minutes to downtown Wilmington. Large family room with 70” TV and electric fireplace for ambience, large dining table, spacious fully equipped kitchen with wet bar. BEDROOMS: Bedroom 1 (Master downstairs) King Bed, master closet is locked but there is a dresser in the master bedroom and if you need to hang clothes you can use the empty closet in the hallway; Bedroom 2 King Bed; Bedroom 3 Queen Bed; Bedroom 4 Bunk Beds (1 full, 1 twin). Each bedroom is complete with full size bathrooms, ample closet space and TVs. Full length mirrors in Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3. KITCHEN: Refrigerator, gas range, oven, dishwasher, microwave, wet bar, cooking basics and more, dishware, glassware, flatware, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, blender, crockpot, dish towels, starter paper products, napkins, paper towels and trash bags. ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE: Check-in is at 4:00 PM via keyless PIN — your code arrives before you do. Checkout is by 10:00 AM sharp. Due to our cleaning team's schedule, early check-ins and late checkouts aren't available at this property. Please don't park on the premises before check-in or after checkout. Unapproved late departures may incur a $200 fee. GENERAL: High-speed WiFi, central A/C & heating, ceiling fans, in-unit washer and dryer, linens & bath towels, beach towels, 8 beach chairs, starter laundry detergent, hand soap, hangers, 1 hair dryer, 2 make up mirrors, iron/ironing board, keyless entry. CARE OF THE COTTAGE: Our team takes great pride in this little gem. Please skip the bleach on anything during your stay — our cleaners handle that between guests. For the stainless steel appliances, stainless-only cleaners please — anything else causes rust and nobody wants that. No incense or essential oil diffusers — scents linger and some guests have sensitivities. PARKING: Driveway (3 vehicles). Do not park under the roof leading to the front steps. GUEST ACCESS: Self-check-in with keyless entry upon arrival. You will find a smart lock at the front door and a code will be sent to you prior to your arrival. PETS: Pets and ESA are allowed prior to booking and upon approval only - with $200 per pet pet fee (Max 2 pet limit). Must be house-trained and crated when not supervised. We do not allow big aggressive dogs. A $200 non-refundable pet fee applies and is spread evenly across your nightly rate at checkout. Please clean up after your dogs promptly — the outdoor space should be left as you found it. Dogs must stay off furniture and linens. No other animals please. SMOKE-FREE PROPERTY: Happy As A Clam is 100% smoke-free indoors. Smoking inside will result in a $200 deodorization fee. NEIGHBORS & NOISE: This is a real neighborhood and we love it that way. Please keep noise considerate and low — and stay on the paths, not through the neighbors' yards. VISITORS: Any additional visitors beyond the booked party must be approved by the host in advance. RENTAL AGREEMENT: A short rental agreement is required before check-in. Straightforward, quick, and in place to protect everyone. Guests must be 25 years or older to book. TRAVEL: Guests are highly encouraged to purchase travel insurance, as we adhere to the cancelation and refund policy set by Airbnb. OTHER: The large, flat yard is nicely landscaped, high end brand new grill, four lounge chairs and Solo Fire Pit. Exterior cameras are placed at the front door and outside in the front. If bringing pets, please pick up all droppings before you depart. AGE: Must be 25 years or older to book. Guest access Guests can use all rooms, except garage and master closet in master bedroom, plenty of drawers and hallway closet to hang long dresses. Other things to note We have keyless entry upon arrival. Please make sure you hit the lock button when you check out and leave the house at all times. Please clean grill after each use as it is not a part of the cleaning service. Please plan to supply your own propane (this is not included with your stay). Please make sure all doors are shut when you using the outside area. Master closet is locked but there is a dresser in the master bedroom and if you need to hang clothes you can use the empty closet in the hallway. DEPARTURE Beach towels and all other bath towels must be washed and dried and put back, start one load of laundry of sheets requested by cleaning service. Please do not overstuff washer. Also please make sure all pots/pans, wine glasses, are washed and put away. Start the dishwasher before departure. Please take out trash and recycling Monday night, they come early Tuesday morning, bring trash cans back to the yard Tuesday. If you leave on any other day, please bring trash to the road. Please turn off all lights and set air on 74 degrees. Please make sure all doors and windows are locked.
