Trails, ponds and a lovely gazebo are all common property and shared by all. We have put together a local guide book for you to enjoy, with lots of details to help make your stay complete! Other things to note the cottage is nestled in a rainforest, surrounded by the lush beauty of nature. While the hosts make efforts to clear away cobwebs, animal and bird droppings, as well as leaves and debris before guests arrive, they kindly ask guests to understand that the cottage is situated in the habitat of these creatures. Therefore, it's natural for them to rebuild their webs and nests. Appreciating this delicate balance between human habitation and the natural environment adds to the charm of the stay. ------- There is limited cell service in Port Renfrew, but the cottage has WI-FI. Guest can email, or enable WI-FI calling on their smart phone, or use other application to call such as What's app, or others. There is also a couple pay phone in town if needed. Current cell phone providers that work in the area are Rogers, Fido, Shaw and limited Telus. ----There is some active construction in our Cottage Community which happens Monday thru Thursday but is a distance from our Cottage. The crew is respectful of guests and their work should not impact your stay at all. Parking is available in front of our Cottage. If you are lucky to be in Renfrew during a storm and the power goes out, you will stay warm with our gas fireplace and be able to light the stovetop manually. We have candles and flashlights for your use. So just sit back and enjoy! If you have never experienced one, there is nothing quite like a West Coast Storm and the sound of the rain on a Tin Roof! Please note that Port Renfrew is extremely small, with a limited labour pool, and the closest towns of any size are over an hours drive away. This means guests are asked to: - wash the dishes - take their garbage - and fill their own propane tank at the gas station (tank is supplied) for the fire table (propane for the bbq is supplied) Registration Details Provincial registration number: PM411017729
