Island #2 has a built-in drinks fridge and bar stools for casual dining and congregating. The kitchen is fully equipped for catering and dining at home. Chest freezer available, located in adjacent area. Courtyard / Pool Area: The kitchen opens into the covered loggia surrounding the central limestone swimming pool. The area has comfortable communal seating, dining table and sun loungers. Courtyard Green Room: withing the main courtyard is a larch-wood changing room and bathroom. It features a palm tree outdoor shower, amongst the orchids and ferns. Central Lounge: Located on the ground floor - building #2, with glass doors overlooking the pool area. This is a large open room within a contemporary art lounge, all-day breeze, and a flexible layout for an office / reading /sitting room. Outdoor Kitchen: Includes gas grill, butcher block and sink, perfect for an outdoor BBQ. Petanque Terrain & Leisure Garden: A cool area to congregate any time of the day or night, with a native petanque terrain, trade winds and beautiful water features, surrounded by frangipani and date palms with 2 sun beds. Secret door to the Goat Track, Trail Head. The Rooftop Garden & Lounge: upper level of the Casita building (#3). Expansive views to the East and West - overlooking Nelson's dockyard, Pigeon Point & beyond to Rendezvous Bay, it is a large open plan room with a modular lounge - very flexible space for yoga, sun bathing - includes sunbeds, & garden. It is serviced by a full bathroom. This area can be accessed from the main courtyard, via a caged stairwell or by the external stairs in the Lion Courtyard. Bedrooms: Casita Suite (Primary): King Bed - located in the "Casita" (building #3), Large ground level bedroom and living room. Secluded from the main house, accessed through the double garden wall doors. En-suite bathroom and a simple hotel-style service area (sink, bar fridge, coffee/tea station). The bedroom opens onto a west facing patio with a natural limestone plunge pool, water feature, outside shower and tropical garden. It adjoins an east facing lounge, opening into the private Lion Courtyard and rockwall garden. Western Suite: King Bed - This suite is on the first floor of the western courtyard (building #2) with ensuite bathroom and balcony, casual seating overlooking the parkland to Pigeon Beach and beyond to Rendezvous Bay. There is a 2nd Juliet balcony which overlooks the central courtyard and pool. Guest Bedrooms 3 & 4: Queen beds - located on the upper level of building #1. These breezy bedrooms are accessed via a convivial walkway which overlooks the central courtyard. Both with en-suites, Juliet balconies, views to the Dockyard Harbour, parkland and Shirley Heights. All bedrooms have A/C, individually keyed access and WIFI. External: North Gate: Main entry and internal car parking (#5) - with automatic gate and remote access for primary vehicular access and parking off Pigeon Beach Road. East Gate: Carport and staff amenities (#4) - Vehicular access from the Goat Track Trail Head with electric gate and parking. This is the recommended entry for Casita guests with secure, covered parking for one vehicle and allows direct access to the Casita Suite via the river bed path. Overview: Location: Paloma is sits within the UNESCO World Heritage National Park on the exclusive Pigeon Point Peninsula, with nothing but parkland between the house and the beach. Paloma is a family beach house, and a short walk to Pigeon Beach, which has a safe swimming zone, snorkelling and water sports. Catherine's and Bumpkins Cafes are great local restaurants/bars located on the ends of the beach. The Goat Track Trail Head is accessed by the East gate. The hikes are many and excellent, and a great way to explore the archaeological ruins hidden along the pathways. Paloma is a 2 minute walk to the local village hub of Falmouth Harbour and Nelson's Dockyard for restaurants, bars, boats, shops and attractions.
