The Chattadoe House sits on over an acre just off prestigious Blueberry Hill Road, offering a peaceful Taos retreat designed for all four seasons. Perfectly positioned between downtown Taos and Taos Ski Valley, it blends privacy with convenience. Enjoy sweeping 360-degree views of open mesa land and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains—scenery so striking it feels like living inside a painted landscape. The space This home is our second home, thoughtfully cared for and designed to feel both welcoming and restorative. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel a sense of calm. Inside, classic Southwestern elements set the tone—viga ceilings, warm wood floors, and graceful arches that define the main gathering spaces. Relax in the living room with postcard-worthy views or come together for meals and games in the chandelier-lit dining area. Sleeping Spaces Primary Bedroom (Bedroom 1) Features a king bed, ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower, and a kiva fireplace (candles only, for safety and convenience). Guest Room (Bedroom 2) Offers a king bed that can be converted into two twin beds upon request. Front Bedroom (Bedroom 3) Includes a daybed with trundle (two twin beds). Best suited for children or adults comfortable sharing a cozy space. Additional Sleeping Options Two queen pull-out sofas are available—one in the living room and one in the sunroom/office off the primary bedroom (with its own AC). Please note: the sunroom shares the primary bathroom and does not have a door separating it from the primary bedroom. All bedrooms feature high-quality linens, curated artwork, and a peaceful, calming atmosphere. Important note: The living room features a small sunken design with a step up/down to the entryway, dining area, bedrooms, and back patio. This layout may not be ideal for guests with mobility concerns. Step outside to enjoy sunrise coffee on the covered back patio, gather for al fresco dinners beside the wood-burning outdoor kiva fireplace, and unwind at night in the hot tub beneath brilliantly clear, star-filled skies—it’s a favorite guest experience. Need more space? An optional guest house is located next door. This private studio includes two queen beds and is available separately. Search Chattadoe Compound (main house + guest house) to reserve the full property. Other things to note Check-in is 4PM and Check-out is 10AM. Please let us know if alternative arrangements are needed and we will try to accommodate to the best of our ability. The House is equipped with electronic deadbolts that will issue a fresh code for each new booking. For the security of our guests and the safety of the property, an external security camera is located on the front porch and parking pad. Please note that the property does not allow pets and if this is violated, an additional $500 will be charged to cover the cost of a deep clean to allow the space to be an allergy-friendly listing.
