Here at Buchanan your stay will feel like home away from home. Philip Drive is a quiet, old Barbadian neighbourhood with beautiful Coralstone homes set among some big old trees. In the immediate area you will find the residences of the Governor general of Barbados, the central bank governor, the British high comissioner, the Canadian high commissioner as well as homes of many leading business people and heads of international agencies. The Canadian high commission is also is also in the area. Pine gardens is an upscale community of people of high net worth and larger heritage type properties. It is very close to the main town called Bridgetown where you can find the hustle and bustle of the city with it's many duty free shops. It is very close to Belleville where there are many doctors and dentists offices and we have an emergency medical there also. 5 mins from the US Embassy if you have business there. We are 5 minutes away from our popular crystal clear south coast beaches. Nothing is far from Philip drive. You can take a short walk to the beach. If you like or There is a bus stop just 5 mins walk from your cottage to go to other beaches and attractions on the south coast. There is a different bus stop 10 min walk to go to the west coast of the island. Alternately we recommend a reliable taxi service or a car rental service which will deliver the car to the residence and drop off at the airport which is approx 15 mins away. We are 5 mins from the crystal clear south coast beaches. There is a restaurant for every day of the year and a vibrant night life, heritage sites, rum factory tours, the caves of Barbados a spectacular attraction, Submarine underwater tours, a variety of water sports, aerial trekking, parasailing and windsurfing and off road safari type tours amounts other activities.
