The space From the chefs kitchen to fuel your adventure to the pristine cast-iron bath tub to sooth your aching muscles, this charming house is thoughtfully designed to support your outdoor quest. This 100 year-old house is located just two miles from the quaint town of Gardiner, NY offering breathtaking views of the Shawangunk Ridge, just 90 minutes from NYC. The immediate surrounding area is abundant with apple orchards, small independent farms, wineries and a world famous distillery. Organic farms less than a mile from the house provide seasonal fresh vegetables, jams, pies, and other farm fresh delights. Second floor accommodations require climbing a small staircase so we would advise against choosing our house if you have significant mobility concerns. The house has a modern zoned heating and air conditioned central air system that makes for cozy winter visits and cool summer stays. The house is foam insulated so it is cosy warm in winter and stays cool in summer. On the second floor there are 2 bedrooms, one with a King size bed and the other with 2 twin beds. The emphasis is on comfort, with high quality linens and pillows. There is a comfortably large half bathroom situated between the upstairs bedrooms. There is a bedroom on the first floor with a queen size bed and a king size pull out sofa in the first floor living room. There is a large sofa and living area. All rooms are full of light and look out over trees and greenery. A full kitchen dinning area combine to create the perfect entertaining space, with wide board pine floor and large open area feel. The kitchen is outfitted with stone countertops, modern confection oven, gas six burner range and all the basic necessities including a variety of quality cookware, French coffee press, electric kettle and food processor. Provided are a range of spices, olive oil, balsamic, coffee and selected teas. All glassware and flatware are of the highest quality. The dinning room table can seat six to eight with the addition of a leaf. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer located in the convenient mudroom. The house sleeps 4-6 depending on sleeping arrangements. *We have a strict No smoking and No Pets policy. *We will always try to be flexible on our check in and check out times if we can, so please ask! Guest access Interaction with guests We will point out the essentials of the house and then leave you to enjoy unless called for. Other things to note As of March 1st 2020, a deep environmental cleaning has been implemented prior to and after each guest. This includes: Wipe down of all surfaces with anti-viral/ anti-bacterial solution, change of all environmental air filters, and complete bleach wash of all linens.
