Historic Garden Retreat in 1858 Row House + W/D

Step into Albany history! This garden-level apartment is nestled in an authentic 1858 Center Square row house, where original character meets modern convenience. You're in the heart of Albany's most walkable, vibrant historic district—steps from award-winning restaurants, Washington Park, and the cultural heart of the Capital Region. The space Home Layout: This is a garden-level apartment. 4 short steps down below the front stone steps to enter, 2 steps up to the back patio, and everything is on one floor. You have a private entrance that brings you into the shared hallway where you’ll see the shared laundry space. Then you’ll enter the private apartment door into an inviting living room that seats 3-4 comfortably. There’s a Smart TV for logging in to your own personal streaming accounts. Kitchen: Just off the living room is a small full kitchen with basic cooking tools, including complimentary coffee for a morning or afternoon pick-me-up. There is a small table with 3 stools for dining. Bathroom: The full bathroom has a simple stand-up shower with complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body wash and fresh towels. Please note the shower ceiling is low with pipes just overhead and may not be as comfortable for anyone over 5’10”. Guests have enjoyed it with no issues, but I want to be transparent about any quirks. Sleeping Accommodations: Bedroom - full size bed Living room - queen size pull out bed PLEASE let me know if you’ll need sheets for the pull-out bed and I’ll leave extra ones out for you. The bedroom offers a closet, iron and ironing board, and a desk for working remotely. The desk currently has a simple folding chair. Please note the bedroom does not have a privacy door inside. The door in the bedroom leads directly to the shared back patio. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have about the layout. Outdoor Space: Enjoy the shared patio where you can have your morning coffee, enjoy the fire pit or just get some fresh air. Washer & Dryer: We offer a shared washer and dryer with laundry detergent for your convenience (located in the shared hallway). Animals: Due to severe allergies, we are not able to host animals of any kind. I and my family use the space when not hosting guests. We love our furry and four legged friends, but hosting animals would pose a serious health risk. Thank you for understanding. PARKING: Not complicated, but details are important, so PLEASE READ. Parking is 100% free. MON. - FRI. 9am-6pm 2hr parking for non residents. MON. - FRI. Alternate side parking. For example, on Thursdays from 9am-12pm residents move cars the other side of the street so the street sweepers can clean. Please read and adhere to parking signs. SAT. - SUN. No official parking rules. No time limit. Parking authorities are gracious, however, you are responsible for adhering to all local street parking signs. We are not responsible for and cannot reimburse any parking tickets issued. Thank you in advance for being mindful of this when booking.
