Description

Escape to Whisky Jack Lodge, an architect-designed modern mountain cabin set on three private forested acres near the Colorado Trail. Floor-to-ceiling windows, white oak interiors, heated concrete floors, and Scandinavian-inspired design create a calm and stylish retreat. Enjoy a chef’s kitchen, hot tub, fire pit, game loft, and Starlink internet. Secluded yet accessible, the home is just 50 minutes from Breckenridge skiing and 90 minutes from Denver. The space 3 private forested acres Sleeps 10 | 5 bedrooms | 3 baths Hot tub + outdoor fire pit Game loft & gathering spaces Chef’s kitchen Starlink high-speed internet 50 minutes to Breckenridge skiing 90 minutes from Denver Leave the noise behind. Follow a winding 400-foot driveway through towering pines and arrive at a glass-walled retreat where the forest is your only neighbor. Set on three private wooded acres near the Colorado Trail, this architecturally designed home blends heated polished concrete floors, white oak, and subtle Scandinavian-European influences into a refined yet deeply comfortable mountain sanctuary — created for romantic escapes, milestone gatherings, and meaningful time together. Ideal for long weekends or extended stays. This is not a ski condo. This is seclusion, by design. The Experience Walls of glass frame the trees like living art. Morning light filters through the pines; evenings settle into stillness. Inside and outside blur in a way that makes you feel removed from everything — yet within reach of it all. Spend the day skiing Breckenridge or Copper Mountain, hiking high-country trails, or exploring alpine lakes — then return to the quiet side of the Rockies, where traffic disappears and the only sound is wind in the trees. The interiors are furnished with layered rugs, natural textures, and carefully selected artwork — inviting slow afternoons, conversation, and reflection. Kitchen & Dining — Built for Shared Evenings This is a true chef’s kitchen, designed for the ritual of gathering. Bosch appliances, a six-burner gas cooktop, and double ovens support everything from intimate dinners to celebratory feasts. Dual dishwashers and expansive stone counters make hosting effortless. At the center of the home, a handcrafted dining table seats 10 comfortably — built for holidays, ski-week celebrations, and the kind of lingering dinners that turn into stories retold for years. This is a home made for shared meals and lasting memories. Work, Play & Restoration Whether you’re here for a long weekend or an extended mountain stay, the layout allows everyone to gather — and still retreat into their own space. Dedicated Loft Workspace Overlooking the pines, with Starlink high-speed internet and complete quiet — ideal for focused work without sacrificing the mountain experience. The Library & Game Loft A relaxed upstairs lounge featuring a custom library of novels, local history, and architecture and design titles. Whether you are settling in for a quiet afternoon of reading or a friendly tournament of foosball, cornhole, or board games, this space is designed for restoration. Primary Suite A King bed with premium linens and a private deck set the tone for slow mornings. The six-foot marble soaking tub positioned beside the trees creates a true spa-in-the-woods experience. Flexible Sleeping Two additional Queen ensuite bedrooms and two sleeping lofts with double beds (ladder access) provide versatile arrangements for families and close friends. Outdoor Living Step off the deck and you are already immersed in nature. Private access to the Colorado Trail places world-class hiking and mountain biking at your doorstep. Evenings are best spent in the six-person hot tub or gathered around the propane fire pit beneath some of the clearest night skies in Colorado. Nights here often end quietly around the fire, watching the stars appear above the trees. Moose, elk, deer, and fox are frequent visitors. Keep your camera ready. We are proudly pet-friendly and include a dedicated dog wash station for post-adventure clean-ups and a dog sleeping crate if you need it. Location & Logistics 15 minutes to Jefferson Lake 20 minutes to Fairplay 50 minutes to Breckenridge 90 minutes to Denver AWD or 4x4 is essential in winter and recommended year-round for the private driveway. Keyless entry ensures seamless arrival. Exterior cameras monitor the driveway only for security. Guest access The home, property and amenities are exclusively yours throughout your stay. Access is by secure entry code. There is a camera on the front of the house to monitor snowfall and unexpected visitors. Other things to note Mountain location Whisky Jack Lodge sits at approximately 10,500 feet in a quiet forest setting. Weather in the Colorado mountains can change quickly and snow is possible from September through May. Vehicle recommendations AWD or 4WD vehicles are strongly recommended year-round and are essential during winter months. The driveway and roads are plowed, but during heavy storms conditions can change quickly. Limited cell service Cell reception in this area is limited. Starlink high-speed internet is provided throughout the home and Wi-Fi calling works well for most phones. Wildlife This is true wildlife country. Moose, elk, deer, fox, and many bird species frequently pass through the property. Please enjoy wildlife from a safe distance and never approach or feed animals. Mountain utilities The home operates on a private well and septic system, which is common for mountain properties. Please flush toilet paper only. Quiet mountain neighborhood This is a peaceful residential area where guests come to relax and enjoy nature. Events and parties are not permitted. Winter travel planning Gas stations and grocery stores are located in Fairplay (about 20 minutes away) and Bailey to the north. It’s a good idea to keep your fuel tank topped up when exploring the area.
