(True story, our first guest decided to move here during her stay. She now lives on a working vineyard.) The space Soak up the beautiful Ojai Valley with easy access to the beaches of Santa Barbara & Ventura at this Oak View home with majestic mountain views. A perfect little getaway for 2, this 1 bedroom, 1 bath guest house features a full kitchen, work space, living area with twin sleeper sofa, queen bed, organic bedding, private entrance, parking and a private deck with laundry and fire pit. Built by hand with organic and non-toxic materials, including wood from trees felled and milled on-site or reclaimed from a 100 year old barn. Passionfruit grows on the fence in front of the guest house and is available to pick and enjoy when fruiting. Enjoy dining outdoors and taking in the views of the Ojai Valley. Private creekside hiking and equestrian trails are just 3 houses down the road. A fully paved bike trail that takes you to Ojai or the beach, playground & library just 5 blocks away. Located in the quiet leafy suburb of Oak View, we are 2 degrees cooler than the town of Ojai during summer, and only 10 minutes to the beach, while still being 7 minutes to Meiners Oaks (Farmer & the Cook, Papa Lennons Pizza, Deer Lodge, Ace Hardware) and 10 minutes to the city of Ojai. Enjoy wonderful restaurants like Rory's Place, Rory's Other Place, Nocciola, Izakaya Full Moon and The Dutchess. Enjoy hikes, hot springs, horseback riding, golf, outdoor concerts, two farmers markets (Thursday and Sunday), three children's playgrounds and more. Composting is available on site. We live in the main house on the property with separate parking and entrance. Additional fruit trees exist on the property including citrus and young stone fruit, and we are happy to share by request. Important: Due to extreme pet dander allergies on site, we are unable to accommodate any service animal requests. Guest access Guest area includes private driveway and parking pad, private guesthouse, and private deck. Feel free to pick passionfruit off the guesthouse's privacy fence if it's fruiting! We also have oranges, grapefruit and more growing around the property, please just ask if you'd like any of those.
