The Carriage House is a wonderful getaway for the whole family. This updated, newly renovated modern guesthouse is outfitted with our guests comfort in mind. Set on a 70 acre property you will get to experience Lancaster County & the Amish culture firsthand. Close to many local attractions & yet away from the crazy of life. We invite you to come experience life with us. The space This newly renovated modern guesthouse will provide you the comforts of home. Set on a 70 acre Amish farm you will have oppurtunity to experience the culture firsthand. The main floor of this gorgeous guesthouse offers an open floor plan flooded with natural light. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, drinkware, silverware, baking utensils, pots & pans, etc to make your time in the kitchen enjoyable. The dining table has 8 chairs plus there's 2 seats at the bar. We have folding chairs you can add to the dining table to accommodate your group size. The living area has brand new comfy couch (pull out sofa bed) & chairs, pluis a gas fireplace giving you the perfect place to unwind & spend time with the rest of your group. To a encourage family time, The Carriage house does not have any TV's. Bathroom 1, a full bath with a tub/shower, is found on the main floor as well. On the 2nd floor you will find 4 rooms; 3bedrooms & our lovely mood room. 2 bedrooms each have 1 queen bed, a dresser, & a comfy chair. The 3rd bedroom has 3 twin over King bunk beds. This room is also the children's dream. You will find a kid's table & chairs, a kitchen set, plus many other toys & books for the children. Our mood room is a dormer room & has a couch & 2 comfy chairs with pull out foot rests. There are board games found in the cabinet & a lovely checkers table in front of the large window overlooking the grounds. There are 2 full bathrooms on this floor as well. Bathroom 2 has a tiled walk in shower while bathroom 3 has a shower stall. The washer & dryer is on the 2nd floor as well as our supply closet should you need more linens or towels. Outside there is a playground for the young & young at heart. The swing set, trampoline, & sandbox are for use at your own risk. We also have lots of animals. There's a good chance a dog will greet you upon arrival. We have an Irish Setter, a Goldendoodle, and a Havenese (she is our house dog) & they all love attention. The barn is home to our driving horses. Our goats, ponies, & pigs live in the meadows. I you wish to help with animal feeding & milking the goat we can arrange that. There are 2 outdoor pickle ball courts available for guest use. There is no need to reserve these outdoor courts. ** On the premises in the 2nd story of the big barn we have an indoor pickleball, volleyball, and/or basketball court available for rent during your stay. Feel free to ask details on this. Included for your stay: towels & washcloths linens & blankets toilet paper, paper towels, & tissues spices flour & sugar Guest access You have full access to the guesthouse. There are no shared spaces. The attached 2 car garage is not for guest use. We use this space for our personal storage. Other things to note There is a working manufacturing facility on the premises where they build poolhouses & other modern backyard structures. During working hours there may be extra traffic in & out the driveway but with the guesthouse being set all the way in the back you hear & see very little of the action.
