Description
The Miner's Cabin is private and spacious with a ski chalet feel. The cabin touts grand windows and a massive covered and private porch to enjoy in all weather. It boasts a luxury shower and fully equipped kitchen. The loft has a king-size bed and the first floor room has two XL twins. Our Ketchikan Cabins are located minutes from the Mountain Point boat launch, prime grounds to start your fishing adventure. Your also sure to see an abundance of sea life, bald eagles and more. The space The Miner's Cabin has no cleaning fee and no checkout chores checklist. Ketchikan Cabins' Miner's Cabin is uniquely situated among the trees on the outskirts of the Tongass National Forest. The Miner's cabin feels remote without being remote at just 5 miles from downtown. Our Miner's Cabin is a spacious 1 bedroom + open loft ski chalet set up. The main floor bedroom is equipped with 2 XL twin beds and the high-ceiling, spacious loft boasts a comfortable king bed. The bathroom has a luxury, step-in shower with dual shower heads. A soaking tub is perfectly situated on the porch (available April-October). The kitchen is stocked with the essential pots/pans/dishes/etc., and the unit has a dishwasher and full size washer & dryer. And, of course, we haven't forgotten the WiFi and the smart TV. The fully covered porch is large and lovely to sip coffee, grill dinner, or enjoy relaxing on a nice evening. Guest access The Miner's Cabin is a complete, stand-alone unit, set apart from any neighbors. Guests have full and private access to the Miner's Cabin, plus the spacious porch, yard and fire pit. There's plenty of room to spread out. Other things to note Cell Coverage Note: Verizon and carriers that work off Verizon towers get excellent 4G coverage. AT&T has limited coverage at the cabin, though WiFi calling would be available. For your safety and to limit interactions with wildlife, absolutely no trash or food is to be left unattended outside. There is an on-site trash shed available for guests. Similarly, any caught fish must be processed off-site either at a table by the boat launch or through using the local fish processor. Like much of Ketchikan, water on site is collected rainwater. It is filtered and safe to consume. We ask, especially when there are multiple days of dry weather, that water be conserved.
