A natural rock-bed creek with cascading water features runs between our property and the neighboring lot, creating a sense of private immersion in nature. The lakeside hammock and gazebo offer perfect spots for reading, reflecting, or enjoying a quiet drink. Travelers with electric vehicles will appreciate the on-site Level 2 EV charger, making it easy to explore the Hudson Valley without worrying about charging. Occasionally, you may spot a few friendly chickens from the neighboring property wandering by—just part of the peaceful, rural setting surrounding the lake. Please don't feed or chase the chickens! Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy all areas of the Mombasha Lake Cottage and its grounds. For safety and privacy, the under-deck area and basement remain off-limits. Other things to note Firepit & Outdoor Fun: Firewood is provided for cozy evening fires. Kayaks, paddleboards, canoe, and outdoor seating are available for your enjoyment — please use thoughtfully. Watercraft Use: Guests are welcome to enjoy the kayaks, paddleboards, and canoe, but please message us before using them so we can provide safety instructions and guidance. Life jackets must be worn at all times, in accordance with NYS boating regulations. Quiet & Neighborhood Respect: This is a peaceful residential area. Please honor quiet hours (Weekdays 9 PM – 8 AM; Weekends 10 PM – 8 AM). Parking & EV Charger: Two on-site parking spaces included. Additional vehicles require approval. Guests with electric vehicles may use the Level 2 charger. Restricted Areas: For safety and privacy, the under-deck area and basement are off-limits.
