If you are here for fishing you are close to the river and nearby Bill Evans lake. Up the toad is the Turkey Creek entrance into the wilderness. Located in downtown Gila New Mexico where we have an urgent care medical clinic, post office, senior center and a community park which has pickleball courts and playground. This home belongs to the owners of Bearpaw Ranch which is 3 1/2 beautiful miles upstream where you will have full access to the property. The ranch straddles the Gila river, and has three ponds which are home to a multitude of wildlife. Catch and release fishing is allowed. You can fish the ponds or the nearby river or Bill Evans Lake, which is about 10 miles away. Gila is located 40 minutes northwest of Silver City where you can find numerous galleries, gift shops, and eateries. Also attractions such as the Cliff Dwellings and the Catwalk are not far away. Gila is a great centralized spot for accessing all the local attractions.
