Welcome to our family's modern twist on a vintage estate! Our family-oriented, pet-friendly, unique retreat is a 5br/3ba home just 10 minutes from downtown Frankenmuth and a couple minute walk from Historic Vassar! We offer an 8-person hot tub, bikes, indoor/outdoor games, firepit, breakfast supplies, patio furniture and movie room! Our place will comfort your party with the ease of modern amenities, while taking you back through history--Let's see if you can find the speakeasy! The space Built in 1851, The Smith House defines vintage beauty from the ornate chandeliers throughout, to the grand staircase in the foyer. This home was designed by our family in 2024 with specific intent to take you back through the years of the Victorian Era, Roaring Twenties, the 60's, all the way to Y2K with our lightly-themed rooms! (accommodates 19 people) Our common areas exemplify trends of the 1920's, while keeping up with modern times. These areas provide your party with games, art supplies, books, an extensive collection of records complete with first floor speakers, plenty of relaxing room and Smart TV's (for the rainy days). Breakfast supplies include fresh baked bread, half gallon milk, h/h, 1 dozen eggs, sausage, oatmeal, pancake mix, coffee/tea/cocoa, sugar/spices, etc. Enjoy mornings with our coffee bar, and nights with our Bartender's cocktail kit. Additionally, the Uncorked Pine Speakeasy (located in the home) is complete with kitchenette, movie room, wii, indoor games, ping-pong, darts, foosball, and other hidden gems for your party to enjoy! Let's go outside: We provide bicycles to enjoy the BEAUTIFUL nationally-recognized trails that connect Vassar to Frankenmuth and oh ya....not to mention the mere 1 minute bike trip to all of the conveniences of downtown Vassar! Please see our online "Local's Guide" for restaurant/park/grocery recommendations prior to your trip, in addition to our binder that can be found in the foyer of the home! After a long day of biking, relax in our private 8-person hot tub or out by the firepit in the back yard! Though there is a whole lot of fun to be found at and around the home, we recognize that a true Michigan gem is located just 10 minutes from The Smith House: German-Town Frankenmuth! Speaking about dogs--we are dog-friendly because what vacation is truly complete without having your WHOLE family with you? *Dog Rules!* *Dogs are not allowed in The Y2K Room or The 60's Room...We want to be allergy-conscious. *Please clean up poop, bags are provided! *Those are our only restrictions! Property line is also notated by trees/bushes/fence. -Hot Tub -Part of detached garage with outdoor games and bikes -Whole house excluding locked room in the basement (Pets are not allowed in The Y2K Room and The 60's Room(s) due to guests with allergies) Other things to note Quiet hours are after 10:00pm. The neighborhood is residential, so please be respectful (no loud music or loud parties outside after this time). Please help yourself to the 33 records in the living room and observe the posted instruction on how to operate record player. Please ensure hot tub cover is secured when not in use.
