This home is a perfect hideaway while being near downtown. You can be carefree (and car-free) while you stroll towards the beach, yet recharge back home perched high above it all with gorgeous views. The space ✓ That’s right! NO Airbnb fee, NO cleaning fee, NO cleaning chores, & NO air con fee. Need a second bedroom for your group? We got that too. Welcome to your home, traveler! • BACKUPS include 8,000 liters of water tank storage (because SJDS and many other homes often run out of water) and multiple UPS batteries to keep the high-speed fiber Wi-Fi running for a few hours during short power outages. • YOUR BEDROOM is located at the other end of the home for sound-privacy; with a queen bed, an LG air con, a ceiling fan, and a freestanding closet. The Jack & Jill bathroom is cleverly divided into 3 additional spaces (bathroom with bidet, hot outdoor shower, and double-sink powder room). This space is private to just your group, so that you and your travel partners can get ready at the same time, without delays. We also offer an an affordable two-bedroom option for up to 4 travelers in your group. Choose 3 or 4 guests in your booking and that will automatically open up the second bedroom for you! • KITCHEN + LIVING ROOM has a large, open layout; the kitchen features ample countertop space, a dishwasher, and a 3-person prep table for preparing and cooking food on the 6-burner gas stove, while the living area offers a love seat, chairs, coffee table, and a comfortable office desk and chair with hardwired internet. While the bedrooms include air con, this large, open-space living room + kitchen do not, but there are two powerful ceiling fans for direct breeze and screened windows and patio doors for cross breeze. We provide many of the amenities you are accustomed to, especially the kitchen tools and appliances, because this house is not just a rental home. It's our home as well, and we love to cook in it and keep it well-stocked! • OUTDOOR COVERED PATIO boasts a shaded dining area with a table/countertop that fits 6–8 people, a large sink, a gas grill with a side burner, and an outdoor cushioned daybed that pulls apart to become a sofa with seats. • POOL, a few steps up the hill behind the house, is a gorgeous saltwater pool and patio overlooking the downtown. This is where another bathroom and outdoor shower are located. The pool is shared among us or other guests staying in our studio cabaña, the smaller home on our mini-villa property. • PLUNGE TUB is a fresh-water lounge area located at the very top of the property where 6–8 people can soak in the tub, soak up the sun, or soak up the moon with soaring ocean-views of the beach, bustling town, and sunsets. But there is free, public street parking 50 meters away at the top of the street, 80 meters away at the bottom of the hill, or secured paid parking near the beach. Instead of wasting precious vacation time trying to find something in the home, figure out how something works, or questions about the town, just send us a quick message. • GROUNDSKEEPER Manuel is sometimes available to address any concerns or problems in person. He's fantastic, even helped build both of our homes, and is knowledgeable of many things in SJDS and beyond. He will be cleaning the pool most mornings, as well as tending to the landscaping and maintenance around the property 3–4 days per week. Furthermore, he can help you run errands or pick something up. Oh, and he is learning English! • WE THE HOSTS are very gregarious and sociable, love hosting our guests, and even introducing them to the town if they want! We can interact with you as much or as little as you prefer. Other things to note • STEEP HILL/QUICK CLIMB to get to this home 35 meters above sea level, which requires a brief but vigorous climb. Healthy travelers can walk up to this home in 2 minutes. While the location in town and elevated view are worth it, this daily burst of cardio is impractical for people with asthma, heart/breathing issues, knee problems, injuries, or walking difficulties.
