Fireplaces: The home has two fireplaces, however only one fireplace is currently working. The black brick fireplace in the basement is working and the white one on the main level is currently out of commission. Water System: Our property's water supply comes from a well and therefore it is important for our guests to do their best to be conscious of their water usage, especially if your party includes 10+ guests and you are renting during summer season. If you have questions, please feel free to message us! Pets: We do allow trained and well behaved dogs. Please inquire with us if you plan to bring a dog and we will discuss our rules and pet fee. Area: The region is still very much "the untamed mountains", so wildlife and insects are pervasive. We take every precaution and employ a monthly pest prevention program with a licensed exterminator. Despite that, you may still encounter small insects or critters in or around the home. This includes bears, stink bugs, ground hogs, turkeys, deer, and thousands of other species. Guest access Entire property is included in the rental and yours for the stay. Please make yourself at home! Other things to note - The property is on a well and septic system. Do not flush anything other than toilet paper or the system may back up and there will be a fee passed through to the guest. - No Smoking Inside: To maintain the freshness of our home, smoking is strictly prohibited indoors. Any evidence of smoking will result in a fee to cover odor removal, duct cleaning, and furniture cleaning. - No Parties/Events: We kindly request that you treat our home with the same care as you would your own, ensuring it remains in pristine condition for future guests and your potential return visits. To be considerate of our residential neighbors, quiet hours are observed from 10 pm to 8 am. - Age Requirement: Guests must be 25 years of age or older to rent our property. - Refund Policy: Please note that we are unable to provide refunds for weather-related incidents, natural disasters, power outages, or any other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
