Relax with the whole family or room share with friends. Whether you are coming for a wedding at Five Gables (3 min down the road) or Howe Farms (6 minutes away) this is your perfect stay. Fully refurbished and upgraded, classic farmhouse with plenty of room. 3 nice size bedrooms, and with 3 bathrooms, you should all have plenty of space to get ready. Also the perfect spot to come visit your Lee University Student. Cook them a home cooked meal in the fully equipped Kitchen and hang as a family. The space This is a nicely updated single level home with fully equipped kitchen, dinning room, living room, & 3 bedrooms with Queen bed in each. 2 of the bedrooms have attached 3/4 baths. The main bath has a bathtub. There is a laundry area at the back of the house. The doubles as a private area for the queen air- bed and has access to the 3/4 bath attached to the third bedroom. There is a fireplace in this Laundry/backroom area that is not functional and blocked off. Please do not try to use it. Guest access The only off limit area of the house is the fireplace and locked black supply cabinet, for the cleaners. Other things to note If there’s anything you forgot or need, Dollar General is just 10-15 minute away. If getting hungry? We highly recommend Dave’s Spiced BBQ. Also a 10-15 minute drive. And if you phone ahead, your food is usually ready for pick up when you arrive. They are open Monday through Saturday. If you call in your order before you leave, the food is usually ready by the time you get there. Don’t forget to order a piece of one of their awesome home made pies for desert. And don’t worry if you’re looking for more, downtown Cleveland is only 25 to 30 minutes away, with practically every store you can think of, a large variety of fast food and restaurants to choose from as well as a theater if you want to catch the latest release. If you by chance have students at Lee University, imagine treating them to a home-cooked meal and getting them out of the dormitory and back hanging as a family for a week or two. We have deep discounts for extended stays and are just 30 minutes from the university. If you are hear to sightsee, there is so much to do within a 60 minute drive of the house. From the inspiring Heights of Lookout Mountain to exploring Ruby Falls (45min out), or the iconic Walnut Street bridge (35 min), there is so much to do around Chattanooga & Birchwood. Here are a few with ETA from the house: Tennessee aquarium and riverfront (35 min) Rock city with its panoramic view of seven states, ancient rock, formations, gardens, magical caves, and even fairyland. An awesome family, friendly destination. (45 min) Coolidge Park with its stunning views of the Tennessee river, bridges, downtown Chattanooga, and don’t miss the hundred year old carousel and interactive play fountain and outdoor Chattanooga Center. (40 Min) If you are a history buff, don’t miss the Chickamunga and Chattanooga National Military Park. The oldest and largest of America’s Civil War parks. (45 min) Raccoon mountain caverns. Cave tours and a variety of outdoor activities are readily available. This includes hiking, mountain biking trails, and gem panning. (55 min) The Coker Museum featuring the honest Charlie Speed shop and over 100 vintage cars, hot rods, motorcycles, trucks and buses. A must see for all car enthusiast. (40 min) The Lost Sea caverns are home to the largest of all non-subglacial underground lakes in the USA, and the second largest in the entire world. It’s the only underground lake in Tennessee, with an underground boat tour that allows you to explore a huge section of the Sweetwater TN cave that you can’t see on foot. (60 min) And of course this is just some of the many attractions of the greater Chattanooga area.
