Cozy, Private Tiny Home Suite for Solo Travelers

Description

This is a suite in the tiny house mode that offers everything needed for living in private, cozy comfort, with your own entrance and screen porch. It becomes your sweet home away from home as you enjoy its modern and convenient features and its bright, open space. Located in a very walkable city, close to amenities and services, area businesses, hospitals, universities, restaurants, and shopping, it's ideal for solo visitors coming to explore, to visit family, or for local work opportunities. The space This suite features its own separate entrance and a bright, inviting and open space, with a high, vaulted ceiling. It is very private, located in an addition on the back of the main house It includes a comfortable sitting/TV viewing area, as well as a small, drop-leaf table, a full sized fridge, coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster oven, and microwave, along with a fully tiled bathroom, complete with towel warmer for toasty luxury in the cold weather months. AC and supplementary heat are provided by a minisplit with remote. The vaulted ceiling extends over the sleep loft, allowing for plenty of headroom, and then slopes down behind the bed. The loft is reached by alternating tread ladder/steps, with railings to hold as you go up and down. The steps are steep, but enable easy backward or forward-facing up and down accessibility for individuals weighing less than 250 pounds. The bedroom offers an extra long, full bed with 100% cotton percale sheets . There is a washing machine and dryer in the basement for guest use, shared with the Host. Access is by pre-arrangement with the Host, and reasonable use is free. Parking is available on the street most of the year, but an off street space is available for times with heavy snow. Guest access Guests have this suite to themselves, and it offers a private entry and a private screen porch. There is also a patio and yard that guests have access to, but those spaces are shared. Access to the apartment is self check-in via a lockbox and a key. Other things to note This tiny house is not a detached, stand-alone space, but is attached to the house via a mudroom. It is quite private and a very quiet house, but also shared with others, so doors and footsteps on the stairs can occasionally be heard. Guests need to be aware that access to the sleeping area is via an alternating step stair/ladder with hand rail that permits forward access, but is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues of any kind and can take a maximum load of 250 pounds. Also, when guests inquire about booking, a copy of the house rules is provided, and the guest must confirm acceptance within 24 hours , or the booking will not be accepted. A starter supply of such things as coffee and toilet paper is provided, but guests staying more than a week are generally expected to replenish on their own. No extra guests are permitted in this tiny suite.
