Welcome to Fern Run Cabin! This space is located in Locust Lake Village, a private resort community with 4 lakes and many recreational activities. The cabin is nestled on a wooded 1/2 acre covered by lush fern in the Pocono Mountains. The nearest lake (Locust Lake) is 0.3 miles from the property and features a sand beach, swimming, fishing and boating. Your stay includes use of a kayak conveniently located at the lake. Minimum Age to Rent is 25 as per twp Twp Registration # 013372 The space The property backs up to the community ski slope, which provides lots of undeveloped land to explore and a perfect place for star gazing. We are often visited by deer, wild turkeys, red foxes and occasionally black bears. The large wooded backyard includes a stone fire pit where you can relax and make s’mores. The screened in porch has areas for dining, chatting and lounging. It's the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the Poconos! Our community requests all incoming guests and vehicles to be registered in their association office for security purposes. The car registration fee is $5/car for the length of your stay. Please note, starting January 1st 2025, there will be a $35 registration flat fee which includes the car tags, wristbands and fishing passes (PA fishing license is still required)The 6 wristbands must stay in the house prior to checkout or it is $25 each to replace. The association office is located in the entrance of community. The office's address is 1778 Lake Lane Pocono Lake, PA 18347 You will receive - An email with your dated car tags for you to print out which must be displayed on every vehicle. - Six wristbands for anyone over 12 years old to use for the length of your stay in order to use the amenities. Additional wristbands for day guests are available for $9/day at the office. Our driveway can fit up to 5 cars, no street parking is allowed in the community. Other things to note The community requests for all guests and cars to be registered prior to renting our home. The booking guest must be at least 25 years old. All guests must have proof of ID, and bring car registration/insurance documents. The dated car tags that you will receive via email once you are registered, must be printed out and displayed in each vehicle. There is an attended compactor at 202 Marthas Lane where your garbage and recycling can be dropped off. The compactor closes most days at 3:30 pm, 5 pm on Wednesdays & Sundays and is closed on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving & Christmas Days. Please note, additional community fees (not included in this reservation) apply. Locust Lake fees are as follows: - $35 registration which will include all overnight guest's car tags, wristbands and fishing passes (PA fishing permit is required) -Wrisbands must stay at the house before checkout or there's a $25 replacement per wristband. anyone under 12 years old, does not need to wear a wristband. - If you have not submitted the registration information and check-in without being registered first, the office will charge a $250 fee, so please submit all information as soon as possible and prior to arrival. Please note these are not our fees, they are Locust Lake Village fees and they have to be paid at the time of pre-registration. We have tons of outdoor recommendations in our Welcome Book, and also a kayak conveniently located at one of the community's lake (when in season).
