The space Leave behind the hustle and bustle of urban living and find solace in your serene, rustic retreat away from it all. Our cabin is the perfect getaway for those who want to disconnect from the world and check back into nature. *Living Room- Snuggle up by the furnace on our Couch that pulls out to a full sized bed. Watch a movie on our smart TV or pull out to sleep on, if 4 guests will be staying. *Kitchen & Dining- Cook up your favorite meal in our kitchen fitted with a 4 burner gas stove, apartment sized refrigerator, toaster oven (no full sized oven), microwave, Keurig and Drip coffee maker, a blender, dinnerware, pots, pans and cooking utensils. The dining area comfortably seats 4 and the kitchen island offers 2 barstools and plenty of countertop space for preparing your meals. *Bedroom- Head upstairs to the master bedroom with a King sized bed and 4 pillows so you can choose your level of comfort! Inside, you'll find a luggage rack, full-sized mirror, iron & ironing board, and a coffee cart with another drip coffee maker. The bathroom is off of the master with a stand up shower and towels are provided. Our A/C window unit is in the bathroom if needed during the summer. *Outdoor Space- Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature as you gather around the firepit, surrounded by majestic trees, and perhaps catch a glimpse of the local wildlife. Listen out for the rushing creek--please note there is no access to the creek as it belongs to our neighbors. *A propane grill is available though we do not supply the propane.* **Washer and dryer are only available upon request. They are located in our basement that is unfinished and not ideal for consistent use. We are able to make this available to you if requested** 🚙*Getting there* Our cabin is tucked away in the peaceful mountain woods, which means getting here includes a winding uphill drive that turns into a one-lane gravel road with a few pull-offs along the way. It’s part of the charm—but also something to be prepared for! Our gravel road can have potholes whether it’s rainy or dry, so expect a few bumps along the way. During wet weather, it can also get muddy and a bit more challenging to drive. While 4WD/AWD isn’t required outside of winter (I personally use a 2WD), it’s definitely recommended—especially if you're not familiar with mountain roads or if rain is in the forecast. 🚗 Low-clearance cars are not a good idea. ❄️ 4WD/AWD is a must in the winter months in case of snow/ice. NEARBY ATTRACTIONS! 🌟French Broad Adventures-20 min drive-Paddle down the famous French Broad River 🌟Blue Heron Whitewater Rafting-20 min drive 🌟Smoky Mountain Trail Rides and Sandy Bottom Trail Rides-25 min drive-Horse back riding 🌟Hike Lovers Leap Loop-35 min drive- Located in Hot Springs, 1.8 mile hike to a view of gorgeous mountains and the french broad river-part of the Appalachian Trail 🌟45 minutes to Asheville, Navitat Canopy Adventures (Ziplining!) and tons of hikes! 🌟Downtown Marshall-28 mins 🌟Downtown Hot Springs-35 mins 🌟Big Pillow Brewing Hot Springs-35 mins 🌟Skiing 50-60 mins to both Zip N Slip and Hatley Pointe Ski Resort 🌟Addison Farms Winery-45 mins 🌟Fox Hill Meadery-45 mins Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home and acre of land! The drive to the property is a curvy gravel road for about a mile and may have a few bumps along the way. Other things to note Ingles is the closest grocery store, 25 minutes from the cabin so please plan accordingly. Walmart is 40 minutes south towards Asheville. We are on a spring with over 2,000 gallons of water storage and .5 a gallon per minute refilling the tanks but we ask that you use the water intentionally (don’t just leave water running to run) normal showers and dish washing is fine! 🚗Please note-It's a gravel road for 1.5 miles that's windy and can have potholes/muddy areas during rainy times. Please consider you and your vehicles capability to make it up the mountain. 4WD/AWD required in winter months-our road doesn't get much sun so it can ice over if cold enough. We do not supply firewood or propane for the outdoor grill. Heating- propane fireplace in the living room & portable electric heater Cooling- 1 window unit upstairs, get's it cool very quick! There is no outside trash can, as to not attract the local wildlife to join your vacation. Note for longer stays--we do not have trash service, but we do have a free trash facility close by. The cabin is immersed within nature, therefore we coexist with the local critters and if doors/windows are left open, they may wander inside even though we utilize a pest service. We are happy to accommodate early check in's & late check outs for $15 an hour when possible, if agreed upon before your stay begins. Unprohibited early and late check ins will result in a hourly fee of $50 as this can put strain on our cleaners and next guests.
